Just Engaged!! Overwhelmed!?

I just got engaged a week ago and although im very excited I feel overwhelmed Im young according to most peoples standards for marriage (19) but my fiancee and I are so happy. Just not sure where to start we know we want a small wedding not very traditional but no clue what kind of budget! I feel like a kid in a candy store with al of my ideas but I want to save money! Any help with websites that may offer DIY weddings??

    Congratulations on your engagement. Now take a moment and breathe enjoy your engagement for a little bit before you get started with wedding planning. When you are ready to start look at the DIY and Budget boards and etsy and pintrest will also give you tons of ideas.

    Congratulations! 

    Definitely take some time to just enjoy before you start planning. We set a date, booked the ceremony and reception sites, and hired a photographer LITERALLY the day after being engaged. I'm happy we got all my top picks, but I was overwhelmed immediately and wish I'd just chilled out for a bit first :)

    cebrady: I envy you! I got engaged one week exactly before Christmas and, until today, you'd have thought someone shot my mother everytime I mentioned my wedding. "Christmas is two days away, sweetheart. There isn't money or time to think about that now!" Luckily, she's finally breathing a sigh of relief and we're going looking at dresses tomorrow.

    Congrats!  Definitely give yourself a breather...especially if you're feeling a little overwhelemed, which it can be at first.  No need to even set a date until you feel like taking the time to start doing the research and putting plans in motion.
