  Wow. First of all, I don't understand why Fi's step mom would assume people would think they were invited if they never got an invitation. That is the key component to whether someone is invited or not.  Also, that is super annoying she just invited people without talking to you and FI. So sorry-I bet that is really frustrating.

  Point in favor of fb.  This way you found out before this random person just showed up at the wedding because the exchange took place in another forum.
