bridetobe go to Nordstrom Rack! I got a pair of gold sperry's for $50 on Saturday (they aren't sequins though, I am super jealous of that!!) just shiny gold leather. they are sooo comfy!

This where we are going as well. It is a little pricey but I have not heard anything bad about it.. Honestly I have only heard how great it is. Where else are you thinking of going? where have you heard bad reviews??

I rarely am around on the weekends. Mostly weekdays- mornings/afternoons- sometimes evening. My schedule isn't jammed packed at work so I like the board for my down time. And also not really anyone around for too much 'office small talk.'

I've literally been driving myself crazy looking at the reviews on trip advisor (no one I've known has had bad experiences w/ Sandals). I've probably read close to 500 reviews over the past few months. Like, I'm crazypants about it. Some are great and some say it's horrible. Now, I realize people complain and to take some of it with a grain of salt; however, there are mulitple reviews that say the same things. For example, how it's extremely hard to find a lounge chair by the pool. And unless you have a bulter, you're pretty much SOL. (b/c the bulters reserve chairs for their guests.) Anyhow, we're not getting a butler and I don't want to have to fight looking for a chair everyday. Ugh.

When will you be there?

I was having the hardest time deciding between the sequins and gold metalic. If Nordstrom Rack has them for $50, I might just get those too! And, bonus, b/c they're comfy!

ahhhhhhhh yes I remember! No wonder your name looked so familiar, haha! I have heard mixed reviews on Sandals La Toc, but I am sure that if you have a great room it will be fabulous! La Toc is in St. Lucia, right? My cousin just went there on her honeymoon (stayed somewhere tiny and different) but had nothing but fabulous things to say about the island itself.

those sperry's are absolutely adorable!!! I have never had the tennis shoe-ish ones like those so I cannot comment on their comfort...but hopefully after another day or two you wil break them in!

And yes....there are about 15-20 of us I would say who are pretty obsessed and on here all the time. like bridetobe said we are all work procrastinators and pretty much just post during our days in the office, the board is much slower on the weekends!!

We're flying out from Chicago on 7/16 and staying in Miami that night. Then we're flying out from Miami on the 17th. So, we'll be at LaToc from 7/17-7/27. Our HMs will overlap there!! :)

As for the mac and cheese...I just discovered a store brand of the shells and cheese that I LOVE! FI thought it was blah, but I thought it was better than Velveeta lol It's the Shaw's brand, but I know not everywhere has that store...

We are having burgers and potato salad...and probably some veggies. Not insanely healthy, but it's what we have lol

Another random thought- there is a freaking fertility drum floating around our part of the office. I don't know where the darn thing came from, but it keeps ending up on my chair/desk! Seriously though, most of the people I work with are 50+ (all but one of us), so I find it funny to put it on one of their desks

I keep saying it's not allowed to work until July... I work with some interesting people!

Yup, St. Lucia! We chose there b/c they have the Pitons, Ziplining, ect. We're staying for 10 days so we wanted some fun excursions to do. And, I've been to Mexico a gazillion times and wanted something different for the HM.

I have a friend who went last year for her HM and said nothing but great things! We do not have a butler but we do have a concierge room.

We're staying in the LaToc Deluxe Honeymoon or something like that. I believe it's the fourth lowest room. I booked through a TA and told her I'd prefer to be close to the main pool and that's what she suggested. What room/area will you be in?

I'd really like to do the ziplining and the Joe Knows tour (snorkel, Pitons, mud bath, rum punch.) Other than that, we might just play it by ear. Possibly an ATV tour? I ziplined in Mexico and absolutely LOVED it! The sailing sounds fun!

My FI are social drinky people so we'll probably spend lots of time at the swim up bar. Ha!

We are staying in the Honeymoon Hibiscus Concierge Suit. We are definitely doing zipline and then I am not sure what else. FI can not do boats he gets so sick so we will be on the land for any of our extras.

Awesome! I had friends that stayed at the Grande and Halcyon. They both loved them. One traveled to LaToc and she said she liked it. I dunno, I'm probably just letting the bad reviews get to me. It's probably more of a, 'We're spending a craptop and just want it to be perfect' kinda thing.

We're definitely doing ziplining too! We did it in Antigua and loved it. We're also going to hike the pitons.

We're staying in an oceanview room and I requested we be up on the bluff, away from the main pool actually. All of the rooms like so nice though, I'm not at all worried about not loving it.

We're going to Mauritius for 6 days and then on safari in South Africa for 5 days, but it's going to be their winter so it's not going to be terribly hot/beachy.

Mauritius should be in the 70s, though, so I think we can turn that into beachy. Who knows.

mbody i did ziplining in New Hampshire and loved it have fun doing it in St. Lucia!! My FI and I were thinking about going there just because of the ziplining, but we fell in love with Aruba instead.

My FI is a teacher and had an interview for a Deans position today at the school. Anyway, I just read a text from him that said, "I couldn't find cufflinks for this shirt so I just stapled the sleeves." Ahh HAHAAA. (He was wearing a suit jacket so I don't think anyone would know.)
