    Awww what an adorable cat.

BF got me tickets for A Little Night Music when that was on Broadway with Bernadette Peters. We also just saw her in concert in June, she is amazing as well.

  • Cute kitty and welcome!

Where would you like to go for your next vacation?  For a dream vacation?

  • ohmygoodness!  Hawkeye is precious.  I want to snuggle him.
  • Thanks! He's a great kitty. He's got huge ears and a long tail and a loud meow for such a tiny thing.

RWS, thank you for the welcome! My next vacation, I'd like to go somewhere quiet, with just SO, to a B&B or something. I love my kids, but I want a vacation where I can sleep in, get wasted and have sexy times with my SO, without worrying about them! Does that make me a shitty parent?

A dream vacation would probably be Hawaii. Ever see Forgetting Sarah Marshall? The hotel that movie takes place at, Turtle Bay Resort, that's where I'd want to go.
You're so rad, more rad than my dad If you were a fabric you'd be plaid Everybody knows plaid is so rad I think about you and I go mad You're so rad

I did a scene from Assassins in college. I was Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme and got to throw fried chicken at the audience. Yeah, that's about all I remember from it.

OP, your kitty is super cute!

Welcome!! You had me at makeup artist with proper grammar. Also, your kitty is adorbs. So tell me, are you and your BF happy where you are, or do you eventually want to get married? How often do you do it? How much do the kids slow you down in that department? Favorite brand of makeup?

</div><div>Thank you for the welcome and the compliment on my kitty! And I am a stickler for proper grammar.
    </div><div>
    </div><div>Now, for the hard-hitting questions...</div><div>
</div><div>SO and I are very happy where we are right now. We went through a lot during our relationship, the biggest being that we were teen parents. Miraculously, we finished both high school and college, both worked. Eventually, we started our careers, had another kiddo, settled into a routine. We've had incredible luck on our side. Marriage would kind of disrupt that, I think. We might get married one day, but right now, on our list of Very Important Things, it ranks pretty low.</div><div>
</div><div>We do it more often than you'd think. We're a frisky pair. I think we get down at least once or twice a week. I got an IUD after our son was born, so that spontaneity is a factor. The kids don't really slow us down at all! They go to bed early, and that gives us plenty of alone time. The only nighttime disruptions we have is that the 2 year old is being potty trained and sometimes he'll wake us to escort him to the bathroom. Otherwise, we lock the door and have adult time. </div><div>
</div><div>My favorite brand of makeup is MAC. It's bright, it's bold, the colors are luscious. That's my go-to. However, if I am doing makeup for theater or a haunted house, I go with Ben Nye. </div>
You're so rad, more rad than my dad If you were a fabric you'd be plaid Everybody knows plaid is so rad I think about you and I go mad You're so rad

<div>I Googled it out of curiosity and then my wallet started to weep. That place is pricey! But so worth it, I bet. </div><div>
</div><div>I was seeing a band called the Bouncing Souls at Irving Plaza! They're so kickass, good to mosh to. Their song "True Believers" is one of my favorite "get pumped" songs. </div>

  • Welcome.  I also love The Red Tent, I've read it multiple times, first read it for a class in high school, really good.  And Food Network so awesome, I love Cupcake Wars and Chopped, I could never do what they do.  Such a cute kitty :)

<div>I thought I was the only person in the world who had read <em>The Red Tent</em> up until now! I almost want to start a thread talking about it, I'm so thrilled there are others! </div><div>
</div><div>I get Food Network magazine, and there was a "Chopped Challenge" in one recent issue. They gave 4 ingredients (chicken breasts, frozen cherries, peanut butter and sauerkraut, I think) and you had to make an entree and submit it. I tried. I failed. We went out to dinner that night. </div>

Haha I read The Red Tent(for the first time) in a high school Women's Lit class but the discussion wasn't always assume since for a lot of people it was more like well I have to read this and get this over with, not really discussing a book that is sooo great, and we did not read the last section for the class which was unfortunate.  I have read it many times since then and was very sad when my copy I loaned out, with all my school notes in it, was never returned but o well.  And wow I have talked to much about The Red Tent haha

I also get Food Network maazine but I did not even attempt that, it doesn't help that I am a picky eater and have not even eaten all 4 of those things before, luckily my boyfriend will eat anything so he is usually a good guinea pig.
