I don't get..
People who don't have pets. I understand if your lease forbids you from having animals, but if you are free to do so and you don't.. I just don't get it.

Allergies. Some people are extremely allergic to pets and look for properties that are pet free. If someone with a pet lived in one of those properties there would have to be massive cleaning to get rid of all dander.

Ok, I know you're a troll, but this logic is flawed. You say so in your post that people with allergies look for places that are pet free. There are loads of those out there. And why would a pet free place allow someone with pets to live there. Does not compute.
My point is about those places that DO allow pets, but limit how many, what breeds, and weight limits. It's lame.

The breed restrictions usually have more to do with a dog's "bite potential" than with any property damage the landlord is worried about. There's a list of the top 10 "offender" breeds when it comes to dog bites, and most properties ban these dogs because they're considered "high risk." I think it's stupid, because dogs bite when they're poorly bred and trained, not just because of their breed, but that's the logic that was articulated to me when I used to work at a condo building (and was stuck with enforcing these ridiculous rules!).
