Any Villa Barone Hilltop Manor's out there?

We are booked for the Villa Barone in Mahopac NY and I'm looking for anyone who is also booked here or had their weddings here. I'm looking for any suggestions on the place and to see your pictures!!  Who did you use for your dj, limo and night of hotel?

We just booked it so we havent done anything with the place yet - food/cake tasting, talk to the coordinator.

    DJ-Party Time Productions...they did a fabulous job

    Limo..I can't reccomend

    Hotel...Hotel Maron in Danbury (Danbury is the closest to VB)

    You won't do a tasting until about 2 months before and I believe cake is around the same time. I wanted to do cake early and went on my own to do it.

    Hi !!!!   and Congratulations !!!!  I am a little early in the process , I am booked at the Villa Barone Hilltop Manor for Sept 2012 ,  I have seen and heard Next Generation , they are awesome , I'm sure thats who I will be booking but I'm just not up to that part yet.

    Limo : Will be silver star Limo 

    Hotel  : Undecided

    Thanks - my date is Oct 22, 2011!! My only problem w/Next Generation is that they are pricey - $2500. They made is out like I was getting some huge deal with them since the wedding is at the Villa.

    Talk to them , maybe they will work with you some more if you tell them it's just a little to pricy .  The thing with them at the Villa is
     
    1. They are down the block (no worries about lateness)
    2. They are the house DJ , they know all about the sound , acoustics , how to set up properly for pics and exactly how everything operates at the Villa .
    No hiccups
    3.Plus their great

    I also hear Alex from Jimmy Dee is good ,  look you can only afford what you can afford though.  I would really call and talk to Next Gen and see if they can offer a different package or something . You never know , it can't hurt to ask  <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />

    Hi- I didn't get married at Villa Barone, but I thought I would butt-in on your thread and reply anyway :)

    For DJ I used Jimmy Dee and loved them!  I got their basic package and spent $1500 (I believe).  It included a DJ, MC, and basic lights.  Also, music for cocktail hour.  I LOVED them!  I didn't use the DJ Company for music (I used them for uplighting), but they also come recommended on here (I also cannot say a bad thing about them!  they were great to work with).

    If you are not feeling Next Generation, don't feel obligated to use them just because they  are the "house dj".  Whichever vendor you choose will be a professional and will know how to properly work your room.  Plus, in most cases they will probably have performed at Villa Barone anyway.

    For Limo I used Silver Star.  They were great to work with and reasonably priced.

    I didn't get married at Villa Barone. But I did have my reception at Putnam National golf club (the other place in Mahopac) and searched for a hotel.

    Danbury is closest  top VBHM - but there a few hotels there: Hilton Garden Inn is closest. Springhill Suites is the recommended hotel for the VBHM. Comfort Suites is one of the top Danbury hotels. Maron hotel and Danbury Plaza have a bar. And Ethan Allen hotel has a lounge (bar and music). They are also really nice accomodations, but fyi- they are also a wedding venue.
      
    Those are the hotels off exits 1, 2 and 4. Closest to Villa Barone.

    Mount Kisco and Fishkill also have hotels nearby - but to select those towns you are hitting 30 minutes. (Because PNGC is the other side of Mahopac, Fishkill ended up being better for us.) But from Villa Barone, Danbury is only like 20 minutes.

    It looks like silver star is highly recommended - a gf of mine also used them. Thanks for the suggestions about the dj I will check out Jimmy Dee!

    Im getting married at the villa barone this coming march! we are using Next Generation DJ - they are the house DJ & came highly recomended by a friend who used them for her wedding. Ask for Mike. For limos we are using top class- actualy going there in a few hours to pick out cars & give a deposit. I have read nothing but good things. Photographer - i am using CG Vincent from Arsley. Wonderful photographer! We have rooms blocked off at the crowne plaza in white plains & we are paying for a shuttle bus to & from the villa barone.

    see my previous post just posted today about my wedding there, you are going to have an amazing day, I used westchester floral for flowers, and silverstar limo in yonkers, i used digital wedding for photography, these are the best of the best, they will do an amazing job and beyond your expectations.  The flowers were the best I have ever seen, the limos and the drivers were out of this world with their service, and the photographer is the best!!! Their pictures are just unbelieveable!! The dj was next generation and to have a good wedding you need the best dj!! they are awesome!! We had 200 people dancing on the dance floor within minutes of the start of the reception. Oh i am so happy you are getting married here!!! It is going to be absolutely Amazing. I can email you the pictures of the room if you want, it looked incredible!!

    Vicky, I also used silverstar they are awesome, I used next generation and they were the best djs in ny, you can read my reviews on these also, Music is a huge part of the wedding, they made my night the best night, everyone was dancing, they played something for everyone in the crowd, we had italian speaking family there and they played something for everyone just so awesome!  flowers I used westchester floral again i feel the best florist in ny
