bridesmaid gifts

So our groomsmen are done, well at least we know what we are getting them.  But I am clueless as to what to get my girls.  I am getting them earrings to wear during the ceremony that match mine, but they aren't that expensive.  None of the girls are big into makeup.  Our wedding is barefoot on the beach. So I thought about getting them ballet slippers or sandals, maybe in a tote bag.  What else would be nice to add?  Or are there other suggestions?  Thanks.

We're the complete opposite! I already have everything for my girls and we can't decide what to get the guys.

I made them earrings and necklaces, I got them monogrammed tote bags, vera bradley coin purses, some personalized stationery and some perfume

We ordered the guys a 6 pack beer bottle coozie carrier and a nice keychain bottle opener.  Then we'll fill them with each guys favorite beer.  It's not fancy, but given the personalities of our 3 groomsmen, they will totally love it.

I got my bridesmaid earrings, shoes, and I plan on getting her a necklace & hair pin. All for the wedding, but those are her gifts also. I actually asked her what she liked so I knew I would be getting something she could wear to the wedding but also elsewhere in life. I only have 1 bridesmaid, so I could afford a little more. It probably as cost me a little over $50 because I bought most off of Etsy.

I  made bags for my girls.  I had bags monogrammed with their initials, I order a vase from the knot store monogrammed with their initial to put their bouquets in at the reception, i got them each a pair of pearl earrings, made a bridesmaid survival kit with tylenol, tissues, deo, mini toothbrush set, etc., and a koozie.  They loved them and I spent maybe $40 each- the vases on the knot were like $12 and super cute!

The vase idea is fantastic! My BMs are all wearing hawaiian leis instead of carrying flowers, but I still might get them that.

I love the 6 pack koozie gift for the groomsmen. I'm going to have to run that by FI.  So far we haven't gotten anything for the GM.  The BM, I have made them pearl necklaces, and I am planning on getting t-shirts made for them.  Also I have a big beach bag for them to use (they were really cheap from the GAP so I am not sure if I am going to use them or not).

I purchased my bridesmaids shoes, necklace and earrings.  They all hosted a shower for me and their shower gift was a monogrammed beach towel in navy/pink (the wedding colors).  They are also getting LL bean boat totes with their monogram, Lilly flipflops (cause I am a Lilly Pulitzer nut and I wanted them to have nicer flipflops than what was in the flipflop basket), and a cream colored wrap. I wanted them all to have gifts that they could use for the wedding and wedding weekend but also later on.

I am also doing a bridesmaid emergency basket and they will have out of town bags in their hotel rooms.  (I am using sand pails from the dollar store instead of bags)

I don't know if there is a chance of wind or colder weather on the beach in September, but what about shawls of some sort?  My ceremony will be outdoors at the end of Oct. so I think I might do that, and get a color that matches the BM dresses but isalso practical to wear again.

I would definitely do a tote with "beachy" items inside -- cute towel, a Tervis tumbler cup (from BB&B) with their initial on it, flip flops, sunscreen or even regular Bath & Body Works lotion that smells beachy like coconut lime verbena or something, etc.

I'm getting each of mine a slightly different combination of the following items: mani/pedi certificate, earrings for the wedding, cute stationary/note cards, Tervis tumbler from BB&B (first letter of their name in pink), gift card to Target, picture of us (probably one from my shower) in a nice frame.

I got my BM robes that I am going to have monogrammed.  We are having someone come to the church to do our hair, so I figured the robes would be fun to wear then and something they can use after the wedding!  I am planning on getting them jewelry as well.  We are thinking of doing koozies and something else for the GM but not sure yet!

I found the cutest gifts for my bridesmaids at bath and body works, they are martini shakers with goodies inside: lip gloss, lotion, body spray, and body wash.

i am giving them all monogrammed tote bags with b&b stuff inside, candle and not sure what else...i was going to do flip flops since it is a beach wedding but most of them wont wear anything cheap, they are dedicated to their rainbows, tevas and reef....i am looking at a monogrammed koozie or small photo album

I love the idea of the monogrammed beach bags with beachy stuff inside!  If you wanted to go all out, you could get everything individually monogrammed....like beach towel, koozie, cup, etc.

These are all awesome ideas.  I love the beach towel one - may be a great time for me to give them this at the Bachelorette at Myrtle Beach!

Yea beach bags are the way to go.  I went to LandsEnd and bought all my bridesmaids the Large size totes - which happen to be perfect for beach size (15-28 each depending on color combo).  Instead of monograming their initials (some of them will be getting married shortly), I got the nicknames I call them on the bags instead.  I'm going to fill them up with snacks they love so that they have something to munch on as we get ready for the wedding.

Then I got them really compfy bronze flip flops from Old Navy for 2.50 a piece - and even one for myself for the reception!

In wanting to get them some jewelry -  I found this custom jeweler from Brides magazine who has a store in Chicago (but sells whoelsale all over the country).  Since my bmaids are fashionistas,  I purchased different-looking bronze flower-designed cocktail rings for them to wear at the wedding as their little pop of fashion (dresses are indigo).  Since I bought 8 (and one for myself in a blue pearl as my something blue), the rings ended up costing me only 12 each including shipping.

I think as long as you get them something you know they will like or use, you got it covered!  If you don't like these ideas, what about finding out from their local friends/family/significant others what place they go to get their toes/nails/massages done during the year and get them a gift certificate to that place for something they don't generally splurge for?  That way you're giving them a way to pamper themselves after all the hardwork they've put into making your day special.  ~
