I hate that. I did that the other day with cake. It looked absolutely delicious and was in the front office for any of the teachers to have, so I grabbed a piece and chatted with the secretary. It was so gross but I felt bad throwing it out, so I ate it. Waste.

I'm just getting settled into work. I'm covering for a co-worker -- our company's sole buyer -- who is on vacation, in preparation for covering for her in a month or so when she's out on maternity leave.

Brian's company is having a Christmas party tomorrow - he's on the social committee, which means I am actually on the committee. They're trying to think of "games" to play. It's a night time party - where you like dress up. Cocktail style. I'm so confused. Why do they need games? what should I suggest?

I'm starting to get depressed. It's been 5 days since I took my drug test and they started the background check.

I'm not even on any prescription drugs let alone illegal ones, so that should not be a problem.

Not only have I never been arrested, my Coast Guard license requires me to have a FBI, DOT, DHS and VIPD background checks. So if the USCG is willing to license me I think it's fair to say I'm safe for a hotel job.

So what the hell is taking so long?

I effing hate that song. It's like a 3 minute Nicholas Sparks novel. As a rule, I'm irritated by anything that is intentionally trying to make me cry. It's cheap.
