Okay, 2 friends are ushers for the wedding because I wanted them involved. One is MOH's DH, the other is (besides my friend) MOH's DH's best friend and the son of our officiant. FI & GMs are all wearing tuxes. Dads and my brother are wearing black suits. MOH's DH doesn't have a suit and she took it as a good excuse to get him one and was going to get black. Just found out the other friend's suit is a "really dark blue." This is for a ceremony that starts early/mid July at 4pm.
I'm not sure what to do? I don't want to ask my friend to buy a brand new suit just for the wedding and I don't want to ask MOH to get her DH a really dark blue suit because A) still wouldn't know if the blue is close enough and

black would be more useful to him in the long run. WDYT?

When I think of ushers.. i think of a formal wedding. For some reason I didn't think yours was formal?

[QUOTE]I'm gonna go completely opposite and say that they are just ushers.. does it really matter what they wear?

I completely agree and that was sort of one of my points - although I think it's fair to say "dark slacks" or "dark suit" if you want because they may want at least some kind of direction and those aren't very difficult things to come up with for most men.
I had them wear simple bouts that were different from the WP just because I did want them to feel included and make it somewhat more obvious to people who would be helping seat them. Especially because we didn't have them match outfits (I think DH told them to wear suits because they were his friends so he could do whatever he wanted, but nothing specific).
