WC at Gannon's

Has anyone used Nicole at Gannon's?  I know America has been there awhile and she has some good reviews but I am not finding anything on Nicole.

Hi! I just posted my review of Amerca at Gannon's... do not, do not, do not use America. Our wedding was on May 26, 2011 and she was un-responsive and ruined so many aspects of our wedding. We were even told by another Gannon's employee that "you know, there are other coordinators you can use other than America..." and we should have listened. If you can't find my huge review, please PM me, I will gladly send you it! But you will enjoy Gannon's as a restaurant, it's beautiful there and the food is soooooo good :)

    Good luck.

I was unimpressed with Nicole at Gannon's when I was first getting my quotes--this was a year ago.  I had three weeks on island, and all I wanted was a rough estimate before I left, and she couldn't pull it together.  This may reflect on the chef more so, but I was very disheartened.  I'm of the perspective "if you don't want my money, then I'll take it elsewhere."  So, we did.

Haven't had any experience with Nicole.  WRT Gannon's, I posted this on the other thread, but here it is again, just in case.....

We also seriously considered Gannon's as a wedding venue.  We ended up having it as our farewell brunch venue instead.
Gannon's automatically refers brides to America Salinas for coordination (at least last year, not sure about now).  We exchanged a couple e-mails with her, but I was less than impressed with her attention to detail.  She was also very picky about what she was responsible for and what she wasn't....and there seemed to be lots of little charges involved for things she deemed out of her 'territory'.

If you go for full coordination (i.e. booking vendors with her), there's a % charge for each booking.  If you just go for day-of coordination, it's about $1000 flat fee.  We were originally interested in day-of, but she simply didn't seem interested in this (probably because it would mean a lower commission??...not sure).  It also took her a long time to respond to e-mails.

I agree that lots of other coordinators on Maui plan weddings at Gannon's.  A florist we interviewed said it was a "wedding factory" on Maui when it was called the "Seawatch", so almost every vendor/coordinator has worked there before!  They changed owners to Bev Gannon, but it looks like the wedding business is picking up again.

Thank you for all of your replies. I have read all of the reviews but never saw Nicole mentioned.  I think we are going with Lisa at Enchanted. She has a laid back attitude but is very budget conscience and instead of a quick email back responded by calling within hours of my initial email.
