Rehearsal dinner help needed ASAP

So we are getting married at the War Memorial, exactly 3 weeks from today. The War Memorial is no longer available the night before the wedding for a dry practice run through.

Sooooooo, now we need a place to "practice" and have a low budger (I'm thinking pizza) rehearsal dinner. All of the WP is from out of town so we can't have the practice anytime before Friday night.

Everyone is staying at the Comfort Inn on State Street, so I don't want to venture too far from there. The dinner will be about 25 people.

I already called Pizza Shuttle and they only have a main dining room area.

Any ideas?

Thanks :o)
Patty

Here's what pops into my head:
    Buccas?
    County Clare?
    The Knick?
You're close to Cathedral Square so you could do Louises , Elsa's, or any of the restaurants in that area.
Buckley's (on N. Cass.  A hidden gem in my opinion)
    Restaurant in the Astor Hotel

    Good luck!

You could try Libiamo... they may be booked but its worth a shot, they have a couple side rooms.

The owners are friends of the family, so I am not sure what a rate would look like, but they do make pizza.

And as a side note--- why no room at the War Memorial anymore... Do you think you can get a discount for this inconvenience? That really sucks!

Does the Comfort Inn have a room you can use?  Then you could just order in pizza, pasta, etc.

The War Memorial told me that I could do my rehearsal on Friday as long as it didn't get rented out. When we met with her last week, she said that another event was now happening on that Friday.

I'm still working on finding a place! I'm a tad under the gun at 20 days out! lol

Unfortunately, Bucca's is not low budget for renting out rooms.

However, the Oakland Trattoria on the East Side is.  We had ours there... $200 room rental unless you say it's okay for it to not be private, then they waive that fee.  They said typically if thre is a party in there they try their hardest not to seat anyone else in there.  We said okay, we don't care if they keep it private or not.  They waived the $200 rental fee and did not seat anyone in there.

We ordered pizzas and for each we got a free pitcher of beer or soda.  We also served pasta, salad, and bread.  I think after taxes and tip we paid $400 for 40 people.

FYI Oakland Trattoria went out of business.  There's a different pizza place there, but I haven't been there yet and don't know what it's like.  What about doing at the Comfort Inn and bringing in Mama Mia's for pizza and lasagna?  Or you could talk to Joey Buona's about gettinga private room?

What?!?!  Oh today is a sad day!  Boo.

In that case, look at renting a room through your hotel and bring in pizzas!  We hosted our brunch the next day (following the wedding) at our hotel and got the room for $100 or so.

As someone who works in the hotel industry, definitely ask the Comfort Inn & Suites if they have a room you can rent.  With it being short notice, they may extend a great deal to you considering you have your wedding block there.

Otherwise, if it's nice out you could always go to Cathedral Square to practice in the park.

    Great restaurant suggestions above!
