Hair and Makeup for Bridesmaids - payment etiquette?

I am having someone come onsite to do hair and makeup for my wedding. Someone is coming for hair and another person for makeup. I am not covering this as I am not making anyone get this done, although I would love to cover it if I could.

In terms of paying, do you get checks from the bridesmaids before hand? Are they supposed to illcude tip or tip day of? Or do you not have to tip the same as you would in a salon?

Any insight?

    I think you should ask your stylist how she expects to be paid (at time of service or beforehand) and go from there.

    If they're individually choosing to do hair and/or make-up, it seems like it'd make sense for them to directly pay the stylist rather than you collecting the money.

    However I agree with Baystate - ask the stylist.

    I think I would pay the whole bill with one check, then ask the BM to pay you back...that seems like the easiest way to make sure you get the stylists/make-up artist paid appropriately. However, I'm sure there are many other ways to do this, probably from people smarter than I...

    I tipped 20% in cash (same as I would in a salon)
