We were so happy with our vendors, I had to write a review!
Venue- Audubon Tea Room
The staff and our wedding coordinator thru Audubon, Perry, were all awesome during the planning and on the day-of coordination. Perry is extremely organized and we didn’t have a wedding planner so Perry filled the void. The food was EXCELLENT and the chef was so accommodating and used my husband’s crawsfish monica recipe instead of his own. I would give the Tea Room an A++.
Photographer- Mark Eric (based in Alexandria, LA but does lots of NOLA weddings)
Mark was so easy to work with and has an incredible artistic eye. He made us feel very comfortable from our engagement shoot to the wedding day.
Videographer- Chad Dyle
Haven’t seen the final product yet, but Chad was very easy to work with and we hardly knew he was there…in a good way, that is..he wasn’t imposing but we could tell he was capturing a lot of good moments.
Florist- Meade Wenzel
Meade is awesome!! At first you’ll think she’s a bit unorganized but she really pulls off some incredible arrangements. She far exceeded our expectations and we loved how she worked within our budget. You just tell her how much you want to spend and she will tell you all that she can do for that amount.
Reception Band- Louisiana Spice
Louisiana Spice had us and all of our guests dancing the whole time. We received several compliments and they learned our dance songs (that weren’t on their lists). Very good value.
Ceremony Music- New Orleans Finest Musicians
So easy to work with…Harry Hardin is very customer-oriented and did a wonderful job with our ceremony. We had a string trio and received many compliments. Harry also learned a special request for us- the instrumental version of Taio Cruz’s Dynamite and it rocked!!
Gown and Bridesmaid Dresses- Pearl’s Place
Pearl’s Place has the best selection of dresses in the city but their customer service leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth. Expect LOOOONNNNG wait times for fittings…I’m talking 3 or 4 hours if you go in on Saturday. I began calling Pearl’s Place Bridal Hell as it got closer and closer to the wedding…prepare to be ignored when you walk-in. It’s definitely not your Town & Country experience but they do have a much wider selection and carry dresses that are friendlier on your budget.
Cake- Maurice’s French Bakery
We opted for a 4 tier almond butter cream from Maurice’s and it was delicious! Very moist and Maurice’s is one of the few bakeries that bakes day-of rather than a few days out so it’s fresher. We received many compliments from our guests.
Hotel for Guests- Country Inn and Suites
The Country Inn and Suites was very nice and accommodating for our guests. We got a room rate of $125/night for a double and $139 for a suite. It was in October so it’s the high season. They are one of the few downtown New Orleans hotels that offers complimentary breakfast and they gave out our OOT gift bags upon check-in. I know several hotels we looked at charged for that but the Country Inn did not. Highly recommended!
