just wanted to say Hi!
what are y'alls plans for the weekend?
We have some family coming in from Lousiana and are super excited to see them they should get here later tonight.
I have to hurry home after work and clean up.

PS. why did I have a Whataburger with cheese,bacon and jalapenos for breakfast...I figured I have to work through lunch and I didn't pack mine so it was a head start...LOL

    You had Whataburger because it is awesome and it's Friday so you're just kicking off the weekend the right way. :)

    SO glad it's Friday, work has been a bitch (or at least my coworkers have been bitches) all week. Wish I had a relaxing weekend in store, but I'm doing a wedding fundraiser garage sale tomorrow and Sunday lol, so I'm still working all weekend. Boo!! Ooh except tomorrow I am skipping over to Beaumont to take my cousin to order her Jr BM dress, so that should be some fun girl time!

    I'm off today! But unfortunatly have to go in tomorrow, boo! I have tons to do today which is hopefully finalize plans for a trip to Cabo in July. Ugh this has been a stressful trip to plan! But FI is the Best Man in a wedding there so it's a we have to go situation. Sunday I will hopefully clean then go to the pool to lay out! I hope everybody has a great weekend!

    im attending a bridal shower saturday. Then my trash the dress session is Sunday morning - then i have a softball game!

    From what I understand... the couple is "raising" money to pay for their wedding.
    and from what I understand this is to be the first of many fundraisers? I don't know. I have not asked questions to refrain from giving my opinion.

    Becca: Woo hoo for TTD! I can not wait to see yours!!!

    Working has been crazy busy for me the past month. I have been a little MIA on the board because of it. DH and I are going to SA this weekend for my nieces graduation. It will be nice to getaway from Houston a little bit.

    Oh I see, well good for them!Smile

    I need to have a garage sale just to get rid of the stuff I have in boxes in the garage when we had our household goods shipped back from Germany I didnt open all of them, who knows whats in there anymore :(

    o.O I've never heard of such a thing. You're a good friend for going. I would personally draw the line at this first one, though. Don't know FI's friend so won't jump to judgment but wonder why not just hold off on the wedding for a few extra months to reel in some more paychecks. It's certainly something we considered.

    I called our garage sale a wedding fundraiser but frankly, we're just trying to get rid of a bunch of stuff so we can stop paying for the storage building. If we can make enough profit to maybe buy some supplies for my DIY reception decorations, that would be a perk!

    LOL girl we moved in 2007 from Europe and I had the HH goods delivered in 2008 so you're doing good if its from FEB!

    I dont get the fundraiser thing either.... i understand "sponsors" where your family members help... but actually advertising a fundraiser? never seen such a thing before!

    to explain:

    This is me strictly keeping my big mouth shut b/c i've been known to sound like a b*tch when I give my "2 cents". but this is the deal.

    FI is the best man. He and I have our "feelings" about this "fundraiser"... ie: we do not agree with it b/c well... we have many reasons as some of you can imagine. But! its is FI's bff... and he feels as if he is obligated to be there and "support the cause" b/c he is standing in the wedding.
    They are selling it to the public.... open invite to all of Houston. I am going for moral support for FI not for the couple. If i were uncomfortable going somewhere, he would join me... same thing I guess.

    FI can smoke a mean Pork Butt.....I think it's time I stand on the side of the road and sell pulled pork sandwiches! I've joked about it before but hell, if I can fundraise now to pay for my wedding, then by all means! (being TOTALLY sarcastic here)

    Well I'm totally confused about a wedding fundraiser & would def. be giving the side eye.... haha

    For my weekend..... today sucks: grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, blah (but of course I'm still just hanging out watching day-time television. But tonight DH & 2 of our friends are going to Bakerstreet (I LOVE $2 drink specials).
    Tomorrow is a US soccer game & we're gonna play by the pool (and grill some chicken & veggies)
    Sunday... attempt to sleep in, bark park, check our some last houses before making a decision....

    a wedding fundraiser has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard, do what you can afford, and miss. you are a good friend for showing up. If you buy a burger does that subtract from the cost of the gift I assume you plan to get them??? =)
