First Gift?

In keeping with the spirit and season of giving, I'm curious. What was the first gift your FI/DH ever gave to you? If you can't remember, what was the most memorable thing he's ever given to you (besides the obvious...proposals/engagement ring/wedding band/children)?

The first thing my FI ever gave me was a 1/2 dozen "Movie Star" roses (I don't think that is the real name but that is what I call them, it is the orange ones) and a cute teddy bear. It was for our first Valentine's Day as a couple. The bear sits on my bed to this day.

Our first christmas together he gave me this diamond heart white gold/gold necklace. A few months later I was in the bathroom and the charm got stuck and went down the drain. I almost died! I went back to the place he got it from Zales and since he had an account they told me the exact one he bought and I re-purchased it. To this day I still have it and that has been almost 4 years ago this Christmas. The first thing he said to me after we got engaged was take the ring off before you go to the bathroom, kitchen, or anything else where it may go down the drain and put it in the box. I plan to pass it down to our daughter should we have one or our son.

The first gift I remember FI giving me was a Tiffany necklace and two stuffed monkeys kissing for Valentine's Day. It was an awesome gift because I love Tiffany's jewelry and stuff animals, but we were just getting back together that day after breaking up for two days..lol. I still wear my Tiffany's necklace every day and I have the kissing monkeys on our bookshelf. Good times.

For my 30th birthday about 2 months after we started dating he cooked me dinner and got me a gorgeous DKNY watch. He had noticed that I haden't been wearing a watch and was always looking at my cell phone for the time or asking him what time it was. Really the watch I had the battery had died and I was just lazy about getting it fixed, I still almost 2 years later haven't gotten a new battery for my old watch.

My first gifts from FI were always flowers. On our first date and every date thereafter for the first 3 years of us dating (which was every weekend) I had a dozen roses and I loved it. Then my birthday which is one month and two days after we officially got into a relationship I got my first Diamond tennis bracelet and a stuffed tweety bird pillow. I was 16 so I thought I was doing it REAL BIG. Diamonds and tweety it couldn't get any better. I have since upgraded the bracelet 4 times and I still have the pillow til this day. FI is very thoughtful and he outdoes himself every time he gets me a gift. LOVE HIM!

Prncsz -My FI bought me the same necklace...

My FI knows how much I like Trey Songz...so for my B-day he bought me "FLOOR" tickets to his concert...I jumped up and down like a little girl (aka "groupie")..lol... when I saw those ticktets!

I met FI about 3 weeks before Mothers' Day and I received a dozen roses at work! The next gift was a pair of Kenneth Cole sandals! Lol!

The first gift he gave me he sent through a friend. One of my friends which is part of the reason he and I ended up together was going to London where she first met him and he was going to London also. He then gave her a box with a teddy bear, a card, and a photoframe that had a picture of him in it. When she got back to the US I went by her college and picked up the gift from her. It was so cute. I still have the photoframe on my bookshelf, the card inside a heart candy box (which was filled with chocolate for Valentines that he bought me, which holds all the cards or letters he has ever written me), and the bear is on my dresser with the newest bear he got me.

My most memorable gift was the trip to Paris last New Years.

Dang I can't remember the first gift lol but the most memorable (besides the e-ring) has to be the diamond key necklace he gave me for my b'day. It was basically to symbolize the key to his heart. I love that necklace!!!

FI's first gift to me was some Dolce and Gabana (not sure I spelled it correctly) perfume. He was searching for some Perry Ellis 360 that I always wear but discovered that it was discontinued (he was shopping at Macy's, I bought it from Ross!) So, the girl at the counter recommended several other scents and he chose the D & G .....now he buys me a bottle every Christmas (along with whatever else he gets me)!

The first thing my FI ever gave me was four or five bundles of roses from the man on the side of the road. He had just picked me up for our valentine's day outing, while stopped at a red light he asked the guy to give him all the roses he had then told him to keep the change (trying to show off). Later that evening he gave me the same necklace in prncsz picture.

The first gift my FI got me was after we'd been together about a month. He bought me one of those little white bears that was holding a red heart that had a zipper to hold stuff in as well as a mahogany christmas card. I can't remember anything else really, but the most memorable was him buying me a mixed plate of bbq meat from this really good BBQ joint here called Gate's. I know it probably isn't the greatest gift in the world BUT I was 6 months pregnant and he bought that mixed plate for me the entire duration of my pregnancy with our 3rd child--- oh wait, no, his most memorable gift was him rolling newspapers with my dad for me when I was too big to do it comfortably- again, I was pregnant with our 3rd child. He did the work but still let me keep the 100 dollars I was being paid every week for the job although he was the one staying up all night for the next 4 months.

The first gift that I got from my fiance was a watch. I was extremely elated because it was our first Christmas even though we didnt spend it together. It was also my first jewelry from a guy.

My first gift from my FI was an adapter for my iPhone so I could play my iTunes songs in my car. It was a very thoughtful gift b/c I had been complaining about the radio stations lack of variety and I drive an older car so I didn't have satellite radio capability. He knew I downloaded tons of songs onto my iPhone and that I drove about 1.5 hours per day for work/school, so it was a useful and sweet gift. It got me through some bad ATL traffic on many occasions!!
