2 Island Honeymoon Ideas?!?

We are working very heard in our search for our 2 week honeymoon. We would like to go to the Carribean and spend 1 week on one island and the other week on a different island. It's so hard to find inter-island flights that are cheap and that does not bring you back to Miami first.
We are REALLY interested in St. Lucia and Turks and Caicos, was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with a 2 island honeymoon or vacation?!!!
Any ideas and any islands they would recommend would be helpful. Thanks! =)

  • I have never been there, but I wonder in they have a boat that you can travel from one to the other? Just a thought good luck!

Yeah I think St. Lucia and Turks and Caicos are too far apart for a boat.

I don't know anything about either of those islands, but I know you can take a boat between St. Martin, St. Barts, and Anguilla so that's something you could look into. I think it's a pretty short trip. You could probably do that for the Bay Islands in Honduras too. I've heard they're really nice for diving and snorkeling.

ETA: A lot of the islands that are close enough to get to by boat will probably be pretty similar though so I'm not sure if that helps at all.

  • St. Lucia is really close to Barbados & on a few of our excursions, we could see the island from our boat.

I loved going to St. Lucia & had a fantastic time there.  I'd never been to the Caribbean and the beach isn't really my thing, but after the wedding planning and everything, it was awesome to just relax.
  • Thanks for the help! I actually think the virgin islands are close enough to travel by boat, so I think that narrowed our search down.
  • I think two of the best options for island hopping would be either:
    1. St. Martin, St. Barth, Anguilla, Saba-you can ferry or fly from St. Martin to any of the other 3 islands
    2. USVI and  BVI- there are many islands so you could do any number of places in the BVI with either St. Thomas or St. John in the USVI.  There are ferry connections between several locations in the BVI to both St. Thomas and St. John.

  • You could easily do St. Thomas and St. John.  I'm not a huge fan of St. Thomas, but St. John is absolutely gorgeous with beaches straight out of a postcard.  St. Thomas is a lot busier and has more shopping/activities.

  • What about Hawaii?
