Is it too late to be sending out "Just Engaged" photo cards?

My Fiancee and I have been engaged since September 30th, 2009 and the word has spread like wild fire through word of mouth. I feel bad because we took forever to get engagement photo's taken and my family has been hounding my poor mother for pictures and information. Our wedding is going to be September 30th of this year and I just feel like it's too late to send out engagement photo's (which I was going to combine with save teh dates).
True or false?

I voted "not if you send them as STDs," but really I think they just should be STDs and not say "just engaged" because you weren't just engaged. Pick your favorite photo and use it to make a postcard, magnet, whatever you want asking them to save the date.

You aren't "just engaged" so yes, it is too late.

Send STDs if you want, even include the picture. But again, you aren't "just engaged" so leave that part off.

Definitely not too late to use them as save the dates. And instead of saying "just engaged" I would have them say "we're engaged".

I'm with everyone else. Send STD and use an engagement photo. If you send STD cards people will get that you're engaged. Also, you should send STD soon because you're about 7 1/2 months away from you wedding date.
