I see a lot of questions about the procession, I'm just curious on your opinion of this. my FI wants to walk his mom down the aisle to her seat (we aren't doing ushers). My nephew will be walking my mom, and we were planning on having the Best Man walk with the MOH, everyone in pairs, down the aisle. His mom is insistant that the Best Man is supposed to be up waiting next to the groom while everyone walks in, or at least he can escort her (the Best Man is his stepdad). We were thinking it would be a special moment for my FI to walk his mom but she is saying she doesn't want to take away from our day and our ceremony, but we think it'd be a nice gesture to show she's included. We of course don't want to force her to do anything she doesn't want but in the end, she knows we are't exactly traditional and it drives her up the wall
What say you all to whether the Best Man is supposed to walk with the MOH or escort his wife (the mother of the groom), or already be waiting up at the altar?
Thanks in advance!
