Thanks ladies... we were starting to get worried about things being booked (like the reception venue and photographers that we like and can afford) so we're glad we got it!

Ekath... do you guys have an idea of what you're shooting for? Season and year?

Actually, we're thinking fall 2011 or early 2012. We're waiting to see what's going on with the health insurance stuff and job prospects. Who am I kidding, we'll probably elope.

Well, I think we are doing pretty goo. We have pretty much stuff done or just need to book it actually... we did a lot of leg work while waiting for the date.

WooHoo on getting the date set!

I'm still jealous you already have your dress...think I'm going shopping in about 2 weeks. As for men's wear - not sure what you're looking at, but we found that Men's Wearhouse has a deal (you can reserve the package for $10 that goes toward one of the tuxes) and if you rent 5, you can get the groom's for free. My parents will be paying for my dad's tux and my brother's and with 4 groomsmen, plus my dad, his dad, my brother and FI's BIL, we definitely had the limit covered...plus loved that they had a location in the 5 states we needed them.

Angie, We are using Men's Wearhouse too... picked the tux and color out already just have to send FI to set it all up. We requested a color sample and got some of their offers in the mail too. FYI, If you have 5 rentals you get a tux rental or 400 in-store credit towards a suit for the groom... if you have 10 rentals then you get both the tux and the credit! We have 6 groomsmen, a ring bearer and 2 dads so we're hoping that FI's grandpa (the only one we have between us that is still alive) will want to strut his stuff in a tux too because FI wants to get a new suit for sure and the tux being free as well would be sweet!

awesome congrats!! I feel like I am crazy that I have only had the ring for 4 days and I already signed up to go to 2 bridal shows in Sept. I think we are going to get married summer 2012 so we have plenty of time to save. Do you think its ok to start looking at places this fall and book that far in advance?

It will most likely bu July 2012. I am just so antsy and want to start doing something

KD- I bought a large cardboard box that is shaped like a chest the other day at Tuesday Morning for $13. It has some floral paper covering now but has a silver toggle closure on the front and ivory handles on each side. I am going to tape off the toggle and remove the handles and prime and paint it solid ivory to match our decor and then add a green bow and put the handles back on. Should be well under $20 when it's all said and done and it will look nice and I can probably even sell it on Craigslist locally for $10 afterwards.

I have my DIY centerpiece mock ups done and this box that I need to get done too. Will be ordering STD's asap and then forging ahead into designing the STD's... haha!

I'm also wondering what you are doing your card box out of? I did a lot of DIY last time but that was not one of the things. How are you doing table numbers, also? And since your a month before me - what are your colors?

Tafft you are so right, things will always go off in ways that you don't plan for... that's life.

Oh, and we also met with the priest and decided on precana for next month and we have a nice long list of songs already including all of the dance songs, cake cutting etc.
