[QUOTE]In Response to Re: The best thing... : Huzzah!! So you have an apartment with a porch and multiple windows in the office? That sounds amazing. :) I'm jealous!

I am very, very, very excited. And the place has enough storage space that we should probably be able to keep Charlie's copious possessions under control and still have a nice place that isn't a mess. And apparently, the guy who has the apartment downstairs is some sort of local news personality.

Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • Ooh, I'm predicting some interesting neighbor stories in your future then. ;) I am even more jealous now that I hear you have decent storage! We still have boxes stacked in the corner from our move last fall. It's all books, old electronics, etc., but there's just no other place to put them. So do you get to buy furniture and stuff or will you just use Charlie's? You need to post pics once it's all decorated!

  • We both have a goodly amount of furniture, so we will probably use what we have for the most part and then supplement. I could definitely see us needing a few more pieces, because this place is way bigger than anywhere either of us has lived previously. Gotta love the real estate prices in Milwaukee - the dollar goes a lot further out here. And I'm definitely going to be posting pictures of my nesting and potential future furbaby. :)

That's great! I bet the prices out there are a sweet deal after living on the east coast! Sometimes I look up Craigslist ads for real estate in CO, and for what we pay for renting our 1BR/1BA apartment here, we could have a 4BR house with a yard and a 2-car garage in CO. *sigh*

I've got to hear more about this potential furbaby. Will it be the kind that meows, barks, clucks, or whinnies? I put the last option in there because it sounds like you could fit a horse in that place! :)

ETA: Wait, I know! It will be the kind that bleats. Laughing

  • Absolutely bleats. Or meows, perhaps. :)

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • We had a family party on Sunday and after one too many margaritas my 50-something year old aunt got into the kiddie pools with the kids in her clothes. Not so bad since we (me and FI) were already in.

The BEST part was her taking a watering can and singing "I'm a little teapot" while pouring it over her head.

[QUOTE]Fell off my horse, hopped back on, and jumped perfectly! Multiple times! I am a big scaredy cat and have only gotten to the point where I'm not scared to jump in, like, the last week. That proves it! Before, falling off would have ruined any progress for about a month. Also made the decision to surprise FH by flying out to Alabama to see him so he doesn't have to drive back to Oregon by himself. I'm so excited and nervous!

Awesome job! I am always nervous about jumping. I used to compete and I always felt I was going "too fast" even when I had the perfect pace (according to my trainer). Plus, I was doing this without health insurance which was very stupid on my part, lol!

  • We had a picnic in the park on Friday night where they had Ferris Bueller playing on a big screen outdoors. Bucket of chicken and macaroni and cheese from KFC, plus some Boddington's pub ale, awesome! It was pretty much perfect!
