Price tag on gifts?

Today we got a package from Macy's from my grandmother. She got us very nice crystal wine glasses and drinking glasses that weren't on the registry. Well, the boxes had the prices on them and I found that odd. I realize if you register for something you probably know the price, but I still find it odd that the prices are on the boxes. Now I feel bad that my grandmother spent so much money...!!!! IMO just kinda tacky.....

    Please give your poor grandma  a break. How do you know that she didn't forget? Memory goes with age. Maybe she didn't even see them on there. Since your registry is at Macy's you've shopped there and know their prices, so even if she took the price off you would probably find out how much they cost.

    BB&B actually blacks out the prices on all registry gifts they send you. I was actually surprised that they took the time to do that.

    I thought that when it was specified as a gift, most stores would ship it without a receipt (just a packing slip) and take the price tags off. It must have been an oversight by Macy's.

    If it was shipped from Macy's themselves then they probably don't remove the tags, no biggie.  I woudn't find it tacky, maybe a little awkward if people spent a lot of money, but not tacky.

    LOL seriously....How many time do I have to say that MACY's shipped them and not HER....SHE had them SHIPPED to our HOUSE.....is that cllllleeeeeear enough.....
