Cost of Officiant?

If you girls dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for your officiant?  We found one that we love but we thought she was kinda expensive.  Her name is Ceila Milton, and she  charges $625.  I dunno, I thought that seemed like a lot, but to be honest she's the only one we looked into so I'm not sure what is the "norm"

    We're using April Beer and she costs more than that.  I have no personal experience with Ceila Milton but I do know she often advertises here.  It's against TK TOS and her post get deleted every time.  Having someone consistently violate simple rules of a message board rubs me the wrong way.

    We are using Rev Richard Cash he charges $475 but we are also having a rehearsal which he charges $50 for.  He has been great to work with.

    Yes pretty much everytime someone asks about an officiant she posts.

    You can always reach out to the mayor of the town you're getting married in and find out if they will perform the ceremony.  I have friends who have done this.  No idea what the cost is for something like that.

    I'm sorry that you were offended by this.  Many of my clients also suggest me here an on other forums, and I take that as a terrific compliment.  

    I also post when someone needs advice here or on Wedding wire, and have sent scripts and ideas to anyone who asks me to do so.  Any couple who needs an idea,ceremony wording or questions answered about licensing or any other aspect of their wedding gets my full attention whether they are my client or not. I wasn't aware of that particular aspect of the TOS, and now that I am, I won't post again. I try to always do the right thing, and if this isn't it, then it'll stop.

    As far as a ceremony officiant? Go with your heart; it will not lead you astray.

    we are using father john michael o'sullivan...he is $400...lets u customize ur whole ceremony!

    We're using Pastor Greg Comfort (Freehold area). He charges $350.00. Cannot say enough good things about him! He makes each ceremony personal, touching, adds a little bit of humor - just what we're looking for. : )

    We are using Celia. She is a really wonderful person. She has amazing reviews from past weddings. She puts a lot of time and care into writing her ceremonies. I felt that level of service, plus the fact that she goes through several ceremony drafts with you was worth the money. We were referred to her by our photographer.
