The saga continues....
So, we got that list of 19 invitations...... Um, it's 3 pages long and it's so much more than 19 invitations. For examples, 1 invitation is for 10 guests. It's really 3 invitations in one. She bundled many ppl together to have it be lese invitations. We could not believe it! Well, I can. That woman is always tricky like that. And it includes + 1s when we aren't even doing +1s for ppl we know. It's pretty unbelievable. Needless to say, Drew will be calling his mom and telling her there is no way we are inviting all of these ppl.

Kimmy, I too vote for "since you can't be reasonable, neither can I, so no invites."
If it's any consolation, the convo FI had w/ his mom about "not happening" went much easier than I anticipated. You definitely have my sympathy!

Sorry about having to deal with this from your FMIL. I like the whole NO INVITES thing but understand that its not realistic, instead I would give her a head count #. She can have all the invites but only X number of people unless she's gonna front the full cost of the extra people (extra chairs, extra napkins, extra food, extra favors, ect.)

Oh, yeah she's not. On one invitation she put her cousin and his wife, their two children who are married and don't live with them, their children's spouses and their children's children. Yeah, it should really be 3 invitations.
Yeah, we are fun crazy on this board. We don't put brides down, we just encourage them to punch or take an ice craper to others.
I'm going to throw out a positive and at least she is inviting people! I feel like that is far better outlook on her part then her attitude when you got engaged/before getting engaged.

kimmy that is NOT okay! so sorry that you actually have to deal with this stuff! i couldn't even imagine being put in that position...esp since i am not so good at being the "bigger person". I wouldn't have even allowed any of her additional ppl an invite...good luck girl! i know you can handle it, stick to your guns!
