Yellowstone weddings?

I am trying to find a outdoor ceremony spot at Yellowstone but am having a hard time finding a small area.  Anyone know any small spots that are nice or having any websites I can visit?

I have no suggestions, but I would repost your question on the Wyoming board. There are several brides that are having their wedding at Yellowstone and they might be able to help.

    Good luck!!!

If you want to marry in Yellowstone NP proper, there are only certain areas where weddings are allowed with a special permit fee.  I'd start by contacting the park and asking for a list/map of all the areas, then weed it down from that to see which ones suit you.

  • hi ginadog! I've been thinking about you - hope your family is doing okay.
  • I'm from Yellowstone and can back up what an earlier bride said: only some areas are allowed to have ceremonies performed. There are chapels in some areas but I think those are only for the locals. There are also beautiful areas right near the park to get married, for example Gardiner, West Yellowstone, or even Red Lodge.
  • If you have the money for it I would highly recomend Chico Hot Springs Resort, if you are going for a more inexpensive option and a very small wedding you can always do a camping site, there are some beautiful ones in the area.
  • I agree, Chico is a great place!
