Anyone Feeling the Post Wedding Blues?

Re: Anyone Feeling the Post Wedding Blues?

  • I am slightly depressed as well.  you ladies are right about none of the friends willing to share the pictures they took at the wedding!  Its like you have to beg them, and oh they forgot, oh they are busy, ect.  Really?  my evil side is telling me to not take any pictures at their weddings ever again!  Also, for the cards or gifts, i am really surprised how people do not bring a card to the wedding!  I understand economy is tough, but really, you can buy a nice card at a dollar store for 54 cents with tax!!!! how hard is it?  no one is asking you to bring elaborate gifts, but having a little sentimental card would have been nice!
as for mother situation, my mom lives overseas!  last time i saw her was over 3 years ago!  and now she is leaving tomorrow after staying here for 3 weeks... it is sad, stressful, upsetting at the same time... the wedding is over, the routine is back on track, my mother is leaving....
looking forward to wedding pictures though!  thank you for letting me vent!  even though we all have great friends, i don't think they quite understand that we are all going through a wedding withdrawal!
  • Eh - I figure I always just tell people "I had a good time - lovely wedding" or something similar unless SOMETHING really stood out...so...I don't mind getting the same.

We received A LOT of compliments on the venue and the food - even afterward..but I am honestly just glad to have the entire thing over with. Wedding planning was both expensive and time-consuming - I feel freeeee now. :p

  • Ok thank god someone started this post because I was about to!!!!! Ive been SO down in the dumps because everyone I talk to that I'm expecting to RAVE abut our wedding, is just like "yea it was really nice...." um really!!????? I almost feel hurt in a way because I spent soooooo much damn time and stress planning It all. I thought our day was amazing, i was just trying to soak it all in and I still feel like I missed a lot! To make matters worse and to say "the honeymoon is officially over" (haha)........ My husband started night school police academy so he's gone from 7am until 10:30 at night:( and that's when I normally go to bed during the week! He was always home before I got home from work at 5:30, so now Im alone and all i do is think about the wedding!! I look at pics constantly and we are seeing the video tomorrow night which im sure i will watch on a nightly basis lol. My husband is sure that he will come home one night and I will be lounging in my wedding dress LOL!!! The sad thing is....I've actually wanted to do that haha! I guess there was Just so much anticipation for that day and now I feel like we are old news already:( so sad! But on a happier note...... We have started trying for a baby
  • Nancy generally when you fonts a wedding it is gods etiquette to give the bride and groom a card. It's not about the money, it's about taking two seconds to think about a the couple.
