Portable sound system???

I just found out that my wedding ceremony location does not have power. Does anyone know if its possible to rent a sound system that portable (without electrical hook up -- not even sure if that exists)??? The WC at the resort said that they have never had a problem without sound, but I'm worried because its right on the water and I will have about 60-70 guests.

    Call a rental place, they may be able to come up with a quiet generator to run the sound system off of.

    Yes, totally possible.  Our location also did not have power.  Several rental companies only offered sound systems powered by generator as a solution-- I would not recommend going that route since the generator itself will make a ton of noise.

    However, there are sound systems that just run on battery power or something, and we used one for the mic for our vows and also for the musician.  Our musician arranged this for us and it cost (I think) $125.  Several rental companies should also be able to offer something.
