Marriage License Question

Did you need your birth certificates to get your license? My state says birth certificate or other proof of age is required- which I think is kind of vague. I will have to call, but FI doesn't have his birth certificate. I don't think his mom has it either, so we will have to track one down if we need it.
Last question for the night, and I will stop being a pw.

    we did.. If you do not have one you can request one from the state for a small fee.

    If your FI has a passport than that might be used as proof and you need a BC to get a passport..






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    He was born in another state, so if we need it we will have to start trying to find it now. Do you know if you need to know the hospital or anything like that?

    Wouldn't proof of age be  on his drivers licence? I needed my BC to get that.

    That might work. His mom should have his, but we aren't in contact with her at this point.

    My county needed a birth certificate, even a passport wouldn't count.  Which strikes me as odd since you need a birth cert in order to get a passport.

    I can't think of the website right now.. but if you google the state and BC it will take you to the correct location and tell you how to obtain the license online.. it's not that difficult.

    I had to order one for myself for another reason.. it's actually surprisingly easy.

    I'm KUI, so I understand.... Actually with all the identity theft.. I'm surprised how easy it is to get a BC online..

    I think I just brought in my driver's license and social security card. I was terrified and amazed at how easy it was to get a marriage license.

    I am annoyed that I have to fill out extra paperwork to forego the blood test. Do they really need to assume I want babies? No thank you state of MT.

    I'm glad we did not have to do the blood test.. I think DH would have freaked out.. He HATES needles. or really the  cotton needed to clean the area, regardless it would not have been pretty if we had to do the blood test. 

    Im surprised some states still do them.

    I'm so glad VA stopped them. I thought they were hiv disclosure though, not fertility reasons?

    MT has a rubella test, for fertility reasons. No hiv test, and only the woman is supposed to do it. I can do some paperwork and not get it done, but I have to put in writing my reasons for not doing it.

    In washington you don't need much anything. You can mail in your application as long as it's notarized, and if you know a notary you dont' even need to show ID. I'm going to have my co-worker notarize our application next week so we can send it in!

    For Kentucky, all you need is a state issued ID, from any state.  Driver's Liscense counts.
