I know, and I never saw if she answered the question of where was her refrigerator!

  • Oh... it's better and worse than I imagined. Now her DR makes more sense.

So she couldn't find a stove to coordinate? If you're gonna be over the top, be OVER THE TOP.

I hope she only has sons.

Goodness gracious, I didn't go back to that thread until just now. Wow, I had no idea I would be a terrible parent because I know basic etiquette. And telling banana she won't be a good parent - that post was so stupid.

  • Oh yeah I forget about the fridge. Also she has wood over the stove. Isn't that a fire hazard? It just doesn't seem like a functional kitchen to me.
    image
  • Good point Ang. Her kitchen is about as functional as my easy bake oven.
    image
  • Heh. Exactly. It's functional for a 10 year old :)

Dude.  I lurk on TB, and most of the tickers scare me.  Lilypie has some ok ones, but I like the fruit one best.  The anatomy ones are ok once you're, like, 7 months along, but before that it's just eeewwwwww.

  • That Disney kitchen is the bets thing I've seen in a long time.
  • At least it's clean. I guess I would take a pepto-pink kitchen over the nightmare kitchens they have on Hoarders.

  • Snipmoro! (just go with it, please) Hi. Hope things are going ok. Aren't you glad there is a hideous fuschia kitchen to brighten your day?

The funny thing to me in the thread she DD'ed was that the inspiration pictures were actually ok. Not my style, but perfectly fine in a way that combined shabby and elegant. And then she turned that into Barbie vomit.
  • Heya, thngs are ok.  Still truckin' along.  Barbie vomit kitchen made my day for sure.

I actually posted on that thread.  I didn't realize she came back.  I hope she really did decide to keep the dog, but I somehow doubt she did a complete 180 like that.  She totally posted wanting us to tell her to take the dog back.

I think because they were all nice pale pinks, and she decided to change that to the most eye-gougingly vibrant fuschia she could find.

She definitely wanted to be validated and she even put an edit about how if it didn't work out the rescue would take the dog back.  It's a dog with feelings not a sweater.

Ugh stuff like this really pisses me off. They knew their schedule before they adopted the dog so that is no excuse now. FI and I made the decision to alter our schedule to fit the dog's needs. For 6 months I left work twice a week at lunch to drive over 20 minutes both ways to let Oz out and give him some time to stretch his legs when he was young and still in the house breaking phase. Every single time I left I wished I could just stay and grab lunch like my coworkers, but I did it for my dog. If we weren't willing to adjust some things and make these sacrifices, we wouldn't have adopted our pup.
