Wedding Website

Have you ladies created a wedding website or plan on doing so?  I thought about using ourweddingday.com until I read the terms of agreement, which stated I would be charged after the first 30 days.  I'm tyring to find an easy to use and free wedding website.  Any suggestions?

Re: Wedding Website

  • Weebly.com and Google have free websites you can use, or I think GoDaddy.com has a deal where you can have your own domain and pay like $5 a year or something?

I've been debating having one for my guests, but from other comments I've read on the boards it seems like they really haven't been THAT beneficial-or the guests simply forget that one exists.

  • Weddingwire.com (<---clicky) is free, easy to use, has great templates and tons of ways to customize your site.  This is what I'm using for my wedding site for my guests to view.  So it has information about FI and myself as well as the wedding/reception, accommodations and all that good stuff.  For my planning side I'm using word press.
  • Ok great, thanks for the input ladies!  I think I'll check into mywedding.com.  This gives me something to do during my spring break Laughing

  • I am using weebly for my planning bio. I will probably end up using the TK and their web-site for my guests since we are having an OOT wedding. I haven't decided if I want to combine the 2 or not.

  • I'm just using TK's website.  Its free and I like the way it can integrate with your guest list on TK if you use that feature.

  • I'm using TKs one. I think it allows you to customize it well and it's easy to use. The only thing is that you can't choose your url.

  • I'm also using TK's. I've shared this before, but you can make your own, shorter URL on notlong.com. I created one using our wedding date, like April19th.notlong.com. You could also use your names, BrideGroom.notlong.com and it will take you directly to the page. I plan on including my web address on my save the dates and the TK's super long URL will just ugly it up!

  • FI and I have made our wedding website through weddingwire.com, but it's not "live" yet/we haven't assigned it a URL, so no one else can look at it. We're just waiting to be able to use our e-pics for it.

We do have a wedding blog that we both post in (even though FI has been slacker lately) and I'd love some more followers! :)
  • I created a simple one with TK.  I mostly did it because I wanted to give more information to my guests when I do STDs so I just put the link and password on it.

  • I have one with the knot and another one at ewedding.com I think... I will only keep one of them. Probably the knot one.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • I created one on Project Wedding and another on Wedding Wire.  In the end, I liked the Project Wedding format a tad better and went with that one.

  • We use weddingwire.com.  I love it!
