Yeah, I feel the same about KPS. If it starts getting all FFFy, it'll stop being interesting. I understand that it's something you would like to get off your chest, but just say it here. And honestly, if you really care that much about what people on the internet are saying about a feeling then there are bigger issues to handle.

Yeah, that KPS about the oil was weird. I really didn't see how oil spills and vacations were related. And yes, the oil spill could've just gone on E and we could have had a separate convo for it.

I know this is not what you are saying at all (this is basically in response to KPS), but I am well aware of the effects the oil spill is having on wildlife, fisheries, and the overall environmental devestation it is causing. Of course, there is plenty I don't know, but I'm not an idiot. I was simply <div>Am I a selfish brat for realizing it will affect my vacation? Perhaps, think what you want. I also know, however, that by affecting my vacation, there are many people who make their living off of tourists who are going to be hit hard. I will not be re-routing my trip, instead, we will be finding another activity that we can do with our guests in the area if our first plan can not happen.</div>

I'm concerned about the environment and economic impact of the oil spill. But, I'm also concerned about the vacation we've already paid a lot of money for that will be our first vacation together as a couple, ever. The two are not mutually exclusive. Ultimately, if our vacation gets cancelled, I will be sad, but I get that in the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal.

Weird that you would call out the Canadians. Moose, Mandy, Alix, P2 and Nebb - and Moose and Alix barely post anymore. I'd hardly say THEY are the big posse around here, but heaven forbid we call out groups, apparently it's very offensive to point out who socializes with whom.

Whoa, Dani. No need to freak out. I'm not "calling out" the Canadians like they are the Pink Ladies here. I used them as an example. I'm not defeding that person who wrote that secret, either. I'm just noticing a trend in FFF. I wouldn't even say there is one particular clique here. As someone who isn't in any of them, I can see that there are a number of groups of friends (clique makes it sound bad, it's not!). As friends, people defend each other in FFF and that's fine too. I'm just trying to explain <em>why</em> people may not be calling regs out on FFF. They never get away with it unless they are a reg too.

As far as people not calling out regs because they're scared other regs will come to their defense, I've been posting here for 2 years (yikes!) and it's always been that way. That'll never change even though the regs come and go over time.

I woke up to a blizzard this morning. Lovely. We've got about a block to a block and a half of visibility. It wasn't bad when I left home - although my dog brought half the back yard in with him when he went out. My front entrance was pretty clean. Now it's got giant muddy paw prints all over it because he's such a goofball.

Secretly, I'm enjoying the snow. Why? Because H's work decided they needed to start a road construction (cable barrier between lanes on a very busy highway) project in late April. I suggested they were being a bit optimistic expecting to be done the work some time around May long weekend when we all know that it's a crap shoot whether or not we'll get snow for the may long weekend. So I find this amusing.

It's ok. He already knows I'm a raving biitch. You don't need to tell him that.

I'm surprised how many people hope that they can't get pregnant. Guess some people feel that its not ok to decided not to have children, you need an excuse.

I'm going to LA tomorrow!!! I'm really excited, but DH and I are going on different flights on the way there and I'm afraid I'll get stuck in Philly on my layover. For some reason I go from Pgh to Philly, then back to LA. I'm not afraid of flying, I'm afraid of getting lost in an airport!

Confession: We are staying wtih my friend, who was my moh, and I love her dearly, but Im nervous about staying with her for a week. She is so hyper and never sleeps, I'm going to be exhausted after this vacation.
