Bridal Shower?'s

Happy Sunday Ladies,

I've been thinking about this for a while now. Who puts together the bridal shower? Is it wrong for me to do this and then the bridal party throw a bachlorette party? I ask because this local party store is going out of business. Everything is 50% off and I saw some really nice decorations in there for a bridal shower. I'm not sure if this is right though.I also know a few people that would come to the bridal shower and not the bachlorette party.
Please share your ideas.

TIA

The bridal shower (and bachelorette party) is thrown by whomever offers. It could be the bridal party, a family member, or another friend.

Brides should not throw their own bridal shower (or bachelorette party).

No prob. Your shower and bachelorette hostess might ask for your input about what types of things to do and for a guest list, but other than that, you are free and in the clear of any planning. It's just one less thing to stress about (hopefully).

I totally agree.  Traditionalist might frown upon family members throwing the shower b/c it looks the the family is soliciting gifts but, in short, anyone but the bride should be hosting these two events.
