Bridal Showcase- Is it worth going?

My reception site is having a bridal showcase where we will be able to meet the house vendors. Do you think it is worth attending? Were these showcases/ expo's able to help anyone or is it just a waste of time?

    I went to one and walked right out. I also didnt like the fact that when we walked in we were asked to fill out these cards and i, without thinking, put my cell down. I then received a ton of calls for quite awhile. I also noticed a RIDICULOUS amount of spam start to show up in my email and at my house. BTW, it was at the excelsior grand in SI.

    All of my vendors we chose by referral through friends or we knew them personally (our DJs).

    The only reason I would go would be if the reception site was also doing a menu tasting that night and you wanted to taste different things before finalizing your menu.

    you should definitely go because you can get a sense of what you do like and dont. I went to a few and found them to be very helpful you can also win different things by signing those cards. I won my honeymoon that way.

    I agree with evy_luv. Go just to get an idea of what you like and don't like. Though I do recommend being tough and saying no to any vendors you don't want to sign up with for 'more info.' I did notice a ridiculous influx of spam but it wasn't anything the "report spam" button couldn't handle.
