When are you sending out Save the Dates?

When is everyone sending out Save the Dates??? I have heard not to do it until 6-8 months before the wedding... Anyone sending them out sooner?

Mine are probably going out in late fall, but I don't think there is anything wrong with sending them earlier if you already have them done, especially if you have a lot of out of town family.

My super-out-of-town cousins will be getting them soon. Eveyone else will get their's in October. My one cousin is in the military, and I hope he will be able to get leave...

Late September early October for us. June is a popular month and there are usually lots of graduation parties so I want to get them out so people can hopefully plan for it.

I wanted to do it later but I think I will be doing it sooner, like instead of November like I wanted send them out in July or August. We are planning a cruise after the wedding but are just spreading the word that we would be happy for anyone to join us on vacation (we live together, so not too picky about having tons of alone time). Theres a bunch of people interested so I wanted to extend the invite to everyone and give them plenty of time to make arrangements once we book the cruise in a couple weeks.

We've been leaking ours out for a while already. All our family is from out of state and most are traveling with kids and planning whole week plus long vacations around our wedding. So we wanted them to have all the time they need. Also, because we're getting married in a vacation town, our hotel block expires seven weeks before the wedding. So we want people to make sure they have the option to get a room as soon as possible otherwise they wont get one at all. Our last few I'll be sending out this month.

I'm thinking we'll send ours in the fall, October sounds good. I don't want to wait much longer and have them get mixed up with all of the holiday mail.

We are sending them out asap. We have lots of out of town guests who will need to get on a plane to get here, including FI's entire family, so we want to give them as much time as possible to book flights and plan trips. Even, if everyone was closer we would still send them out at least 8 months ahead since our wedding will be at the end of June and we want everyone to know the date before they plan summer vacations.

Mine are printing at the moment and will be going out in the next week. Almost everyone is flying in and with our guests vacations are planned very far in advance. I know if we don't get on their calendars now they will be in China or Costa Rica during my wedding since school will be just getting out. I rather give them the heads up now.

We're getting engagement pictures done in October, so ours will probably be sent out right before the holidays.
