What small things can just make your day?

I love when there is randomly no line at the Dunkin Donuts drive thru at 8:30 in the morning. Most days it is packed and every now and then it is a ghost town.

I love when office supplies are delivered. It is like Christmas morning and I go raiding post it notes.

If I make it through the day without a run in my stockings, I won the day.

I love new underwear, new makeup. I love when I start a new journal. It's weird. I love to touch all the empty paper and imagine what I'll write in it in the future - kinda like wondering where my life is going.

I love full tanks of gas. I love when one of my favorite songs comes on the radio - for some reason it sounds so much better than when I'm listening to it on purpose.

I love how it feels after you just finish a long run.

Also weird - I love how my dog smells in the morning. She smells like, tortillas or corn chips or something lol. And she's all groggy, so she's really sweet.

I love when I catch Ben looking at me and smiling at me for no reason.

I love when I really nail a good news story. The feeling is awesome.

I love tea before bed.

If I have a new piece of clothing or jewelry to wear- that can really get me up in the morning.

I also love the days when I get hashbrowns and bacon in the cafeteria for breakfast. I am watching what I eat so it doesn't happen too much anymore.

ETA: I can't see most of the posts. How annoying.

Full tank of gas is a good one. It is so weird how satisfying that is.

I like learning a new joke. They can be completely dumb too, but I then have fun bombarding any one who will listen with it. My latest?

When surprises are brought home by my H. When I hit a weight milestone, he brought home my favorite frozen yogurt topped with cocoa roasted almonds. Exactly how i would have made it. The fact that he had paid attention made it sweet.

Finding non-bill mail in the mailbox. Even if it's just a shampoo sample and not a card from a friend.

Baby hugs. They hug with their whole body and soul. You can feel the innocent love.

New art supplies. Little jars filled with pretty inks, paints, and such.

Yes! By the same token, I love realizing I am starving for lunch and it is 2:00PM rather than 11:00AM. The day is way shorter that way.

I love looking at Whisky when he's all curled up and fluffy and adorable looking. Even if I'm grumpy, he makes me smile.

An ice-cold glass of chocolate milk, on the rocks.

When I'm eating Doritos and there is the perfectly shaped chip with the perfect amount of flavor.

When H sneak kisses me. Or hugs me. Or lets me squeeze his arm muscles.

This, to me, is the epitome of small victories. I love that you notice stuff like this too.

I love fresh clean sheets and towels and even better if it was Mike who cleaned them.

The smell of lavender always makes me think of my Gran E. Love and good memories.

I love feeling beach sand between my toes. I love how hot dogs taste at a baseball game. I love the first sip of a beer. I love how fall smells - when the combines are going and the air is so crisp.

I love seeing a shooting star, or the northern lights.

I'm not a morning person, so I love the random morning when I wake up and just feel <em>good. </em>You know what I'm talking about? Like you wake up and you instantly know it's going to be a kickass day, so it's easy to pop right out of bed.

I, too, enjoy the shiit out of new office supplies.

Mani/pedis. I don't get them often because I'm not allowed to wear nail polish at work, but on vacation it makes me feel so pretty!

When I get up and there is already a cup of coffee waiting for me.

Any day that my hair cooperates is a good day.

I love when I go to work and there are storm clouds coming. Nothing perks me up like a good thunder storm.

There is one kid in class that is also SO excited to see me. He runs up, yells my name, and gives me a big hug. It's adorable.

Oh no no Dot... it's not that smell. She did have a pretty raunchy smell when she had a gross ear infection. That smell is unmistakable, lol. Yeast. OMG. This corn chip smell, she has it only when she's been sleeping. And she's always had it, even when she was a pup. My co-worker's dog smells like that too apparently.

Ever since her bad ear infection we've kept a pretty close watch on her ears! We make sure to clean them every time she gets a bath.

Yeah being barefoot is pretty awesome. When I was a kid I used to run barefoot through our farmyard all the time and I loved how the grass felt under my feet. Even walking barefoot on gravel felt kinda cool. Or climbing a tree barefoot.

As for the chip smell, I totally know what you are talking about. We say the dog smells like fritos. I think it is when they get kind of sweaty from sleeping or cuddling. I honestly sometimes say good morning to Spikey by hugging him and crowing, "do you smell liike fritos agaaaain!!??"

I always climb trees barefoot. It's easier. Whenever I did those rock-climbing walls I went barefoot too. I have super long toes good for gripping.

I love napping. Being curled up on the couch with a soft blanket, TV on in the background, is pretty much perfection.

I love when I wake up in the middle of the night and I feel to hot under the covers so I stick just one leg out the side and I completely cool down instantly. Minimal effort, maximum result.

I love when I get home from work with good news and Mike has good news too and we are all, "no you go first!"

The dog snuggeling with me while I work.

We both work from H so I love it when H has to run to town for something and brings us home lunch. It's a nice change to not have to make lunch.
