Good Morning??

I really hope so.

I was called in today (was to be a day off).  Let's pray for a quick easy trip and I can be back at home by 12:30pm.   I'm so tired.  Standing in barefeet for 8+ hours a dayfor 6 days in a row is finally taking a toll on my old body.  All I want is a foot massage.

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent.   Have a good day.

Re: Good Morning??

  • Good Morning!

Lynda, ,have the winds at least been good?  Let me know if you're still online.  I have pictures!  The Maltese Falcon pulled into port yesterday.  I can see her from my balcony.

And a Good Evening to you to Sun.

  • Evening dear! How is all going over there in lovely France?
  • It is going just wonderfully!  The chef did the weeks shopping today, so I tagged along to buy the "dry goods".  Other than that, it's kind of quiet.  Just cleaning and waiting for the cable people to show up.  TV would be nice.

    How are you doing?

  • Hi hi hi!!  I slept for 11 hours and I'm still exhausted.  Might be because of all the walking around Rome.
  • I saw some of the pictures.  Sooo jealous!

  • I'm good, thanks. It's pretty much my bedtime so I am going to head off now- night girls!
  • Night Sun!

It was really nice, honestly.  Good times to be had!
  • Night, or soon, anyway! I had the most horrific nightmares last night, and woke up to see some random child at the end of our bed (just to clarify: I don't believe in ghosts, but I suspect that when I snapped awake after a nightmare my subconscious wasn't completely finished dreaming, thus seeing this kid by the end of my bed. I don't actually believe there was some old-style 12 year old ghost hanging out in my room), which persisted when I closed and opened my eyes, until I turned on the light and saw there was nothing there. Because of that, I am sort of putting off sleep tonight- vivid dreaming can be somewhat frustrating!

Amoro, I was just looking at your FB pictures- so very beautiful. I am so jealous of you two and your European winters for christmas!

  • Well, we'd love to be home for Christmas one of these years.  We miss being around family. :)

Also, I totally had this dream last night that the wardrobe door opened on its own. It freaked me the hell out.
  • I do miss the family portion of the holidays.

I was having weird dreams last week.

Did you all notice that NYE falls on a full moon this year?

  • No, that should be quite interesting! Italians are already pretty whacky on NYE anyway...

My weird/bad dreams are on the increase because it's warm. Whenever I'm hot, I always end up having vivid dreams.

I didn't notice that at all, but now you point it out, it makes sense. What have you girls got planned for this NYE?

And Amoro, that is a rather freaky dream! I hate having dreams like that. Last night I dreamt that some weirdo was staring in our bedroom windows... and then I woke up to an apparent early 1900's kid smiling at me at the end of my bed. Freaky stuff.

  • H is on watch (aka - babysitting the boat) NYEs so a quiet one for us.  I think more oysters and champagne are on tap.  Watch some movies, etc.

But the official story will be "we spent NYE on a yacht in the French Riveria" ;-)

  • I just woke up. I swear to god not only am I a full time cook around here, I also double as an alarm clock. My husband seems to turn off his alarm in his sleep or once it goes off and then falls back to sleep because he slept in again this morning. I want to go back to sleep but I also dont want to waste my entire day by sleeping.

Either she's working on the boat, or she's been invited to brimcleod's wedding and she's practicing... Poor lynda. When is your next day off?

Good morning! Everyone's NYEs sound fun! I'm jealous.
  • I'm here, working, today.  It's payroll day, so I'm just crossing my fingers that I manage to get through it without major incident.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • betrothed, you poor thing. I'd just hide. Can you do that?

Once I was asked to cover the switchboard up front. I fucked it up so badly they haven't asked since. Maybe there's a bright side to all of this after all?
  • HAHA, yeah, but fucking up payroll means I'm screwing over all of the other employees, and I don't want to do that.  God, I wish I could hide.

I'm very seriously considering bringing work home with me tonight and not coming back in until Monday.

  • Lynda, I see they are expecting big seas near you? Will you be affected or will it mostly affect Anegada? (Expecting up to 22 foot waves, big swells).
  • I'm back  !!!

Yay.. I was able to get off early.

Skippy - I know 22 footers.  I know so many people heading to Anegada today to go surfing.   I really should to go the north side of St Thomas to watch them roll in.

It's kind of odd though.  There is NO wind, only swell.  So the south side is flat.  North side 14+ swells.   Crazy December weather.
