We are completely devastated. We just got the news today that my step daughter is now in CA. Her birth mother quite her job packed up the car and drove to CA without telling us. The problem is my husband and babys mother did not have anything in writing as far as custody. We need to get a lawyer and get some help getting her back. Does anyone know a good custody lawyer or where we should begin or what rights he has? This doesn’t even seem legal.
