Morning

How was the weekend?

Kind of mundane here.  DH got in a little fight Friday night.  A combo of raw nerves and miscommunication, but it sucked.

Saturday- we bought the stuff for tball!  Then some stupid things.  M2 is in a total word explosion.  DH had her and 6let at the store.  She'd drop her little head and shoulders and say "mommy home" in this little sad sack voice, which would crack everyone up.  Took DH twice as long because people would stop him.

Sunday- Church and general enjoyment of the weather.  6let is a total gamer.  We played  a bunch of games last night and he even legit beat me at Uno.

I'm pretty sure M2 is destined not to have 2 yo pics though.  She wouldn't cooperate at all at Target so I just went to Sears for a  quick $12.99 session.  They were supposed to be in last week, but nobody called.  I went to look up the number on-line only to see that they closed all Sears studios.  The recorded message said to ask for a manager at the store.  Hopefully they have them since they charged my credit card.  Glad I didn't go for the club card.

DD2 is also (finally) adding some more words to her arsenal.  It's still not very many, but dang, the girl doesn't HAVE to talk with her brother and sister around.  They know exactly what she wants.

I got an email about Sears studios closing.  I'm not too upset about it.  I took the kids there a few times and we did family pics twice there and I was never really happy with them.  The only reason we kept going back was because they kept sending me coupons for free stuff.  We have gotten two family pics in a 16X20 for free.  I hope they get your pics to you or refund your card, but then you'd have to go get pics somewhere else.  Ugh.  Photo studios are a pita.

Our weekend was pretty good.  Friday's baseball game was rained/colded out so we got takeout at a fairly new place.  It was so good.  We will definitely do it again.

Saturday we were soooo bored.  DD1 kept asking to go to the zoo but it was too cold so we took them to PetSmart and PetCo to look at the animals.  And we came home with a betta and a little one gallon aquarium.  The girls love watching him.

Yesterday we went to the zoo.  It was so nice out.  Then we came home and I took a crazy energetic 3 year old to the park while the younger one was napping.  Seriously, I thought she'd be worn out from walking the zoo - it was the first time we didn't take a stroller and they both walked.  But no, I didn't even get a chance to sit down and she was begging to go to the park.

We got home and DH was taking down the xmas lights.  I helped him get the rest down and then we decided to fix the brick and mulch around one of our trees.  It took us two damn hours but it looks really nice.  One tree down, 2 more to go.  And the flower bed all along the front of the house.  Ugh.

I have a feeling we'll be at the zoo this week.  I need to figure out how to get my Ergo into a back carry.  I've watched the videos, but never tried it.  Maybe I'll do that when DH is home.

  • We've been to the zoo two sundays in a row.  We love it and I'm hoping it doesn't become old news to the kids if we go often.

You should be fine.  We went almost weekly last year.  We change it up buying seeing different things, meeting different people, sometimes I pack a lunch.  Ours has some preschool programs I want to sign up for too.
  • Friday night went and played Civilization w/friends.  Saturday was a lot of laying around and doing nothing.  Sunday was a 16 mile bike ride that would've been more enjoyable if we hadn't been riding into 25-35 mph headwind on the way back.  Blech, it slowed us down a lot.  I'm not too terribly sore today, but I'm sure my nether regions will be complaining soon.

My cats were going haywire last night, growling, hissing and spitting at each other last night.  The last time they scared me awake and I couldn't go to sleep for another hour.  *lifts coffee muge* I might have to drink 2 of these today and I don't like doing that.

Also, stupid man has signed himself back into my freethinkers group.  DH and I talked about it.  I don't really care and I'll believe it when I see him there since he RSVPs yes all the time and never shows.  I'm still angry about the way he contacted me, but I'm not going to give him any power to turn it into my issue.
  • I have to be up for a training call this morning and I'm not happy about it. This weekend ended up being a bust. Friday night I felt pretty good. Saturday, felt okay. Went to lunch with DH and my parents, and we had a good time. By that evening I was feeling sick. I hoped it would just pass but no. Sunday it was morning sickness all day. I managed to grocery shop but came home and just felt like dying. Then of course, I had a hard time falling asleep because of feeling nauseous and having to get up to puke every so often. I never took medicine while I was pregnant with DS but I think I may ask about it. I'd really like a few good nights of sleep to help combat the sickness. But on the flip- first ultrasound is this week.
  • Morning.

Weekend was pretty good.  Lots of time together as a family.  We had a date on Saturday night and that was great.  We spent almost all of yesterday outside.  It was perfect.

  • Weekend was nice, but long. I took MrsCs advice and took a few days off to get housework done. i got a wicked amount of stuff done, the biggest task was yard. My folks are in town, leave thurs, followed by DH's tomorrow. DD went to a little kid bday party on Sat and the zoo on Sunday. Meanwhile, I have deadline work that must get done, hence two weekend evenings working until 230am and up by 6am. This deadline'll kill me.

  • We're hoping to go to the zoo next Saturday.

We went to a party on Saturday night and I actually convinced DH to hold the hosts' 2 month old baby.  He looked terrified.

We did some yard work Sunday, where I ended up getting pissed at DH and stormed inside and made his birthday cake, 12 days after the fact.  Kind of a weird reaction to getting pissed off, oh well.  We ate cake and were happy.

The company that ran the sears studios is local. I was approached to do a project for them a little over a year ago. They thought they were going to compete with Shutterfly. LIke, for real? I am not shocked they went under.

I feel like I shouldn't complain about the weekend. Nothing really horrible happened, but it kindof sucked. I just have no energy and am drowning in work and housework. I want to yell at H for not doing his share, but every time the urge hits, he's either folding clothes or packing lunches or washing dinner dishes. Grr. He IS doing his share, so it's really just all my fault.

I started reading the Sheryl Sandberg book, and it is kindof fascinating.

I am still reading the supremely depressing 'mole people' book I got in Secret Satan.
I think I hate it and kinda want to cry.  But some crappy part of me won't let me NOT finish it.

The weekend was uneventful.  Friday I went to the eye doc, ordered new glasses, Buffy and I made PB sheet cake (mmmm, grandma's recipe), and we did nothing.

Saturday, I nearly knocked myself out at Mejier, walking into the back of my car's hatchback, which 'stuck' 1/2 open.  I've had a headache since and I still have a goose egg.
Sunday, the Mr. felt like crap so we did mroe nothing.

we did succeed in cleaning up the house some. I culled a copy-paper's worth of toys from Buffy's room--I explained what we were doing, that we were going to take some toys and donate them for kids who don't have as many toys--since Buffy had to many.  She said "yay" and immediately dropped like 4 of her favorite toys in the box.  I think she didn't quite get it--so I gave her back her favorites and culled non-favorites.

I almost forgot the best part of my weekend:  I had Max in his bathtub.  He was smiling a little and for some reason I snorted at him.  He smiled bigger so I snorted again.  Little stinker started laughing.  First time he's ever laughed and it was because his mom was snorting at him.
