Shoes For A Short Lace Wedding Dress?
Hi all!
I always need a second opinion when it comes to clothes/accessorizing. I'm wearing a double v-neck lace dress that comes to my knees with a silver sash and mostly pearl jewelry.
This is the dress, before changing the sash and shortening it.
Originally, I was going to buy navy blue shoes to match my FH's outfit, but he is as indecisive as I am about clothing and hasn't chosen an outfit. So, I'm just going to buy a pair of shoes that suits my outfit on its own - the problem is, I don't what would go with it!
Since my feet are going to be visible, I kind of want them to be a little bit different and funky. Maybe not white? But I'm completely lost for ideas. Any suggestions?!

I was originally looking for a short wedding dress with a double v-neck. I found this one on ebay and it was absolutely everything I wanted (size and all) - but it was long. When I first tried it on, I loved it long, but I didn't feel like it would be appropriate for our venue and the type of wedding we're having. So, sadly, I'm cutting it.
Our wedding colours are blue and silver (I decided that after my FH told me he would be wearing navy and grey), but now that he's not sure if he's wearing navy (even though the cupcakes and favours will be blue), I should probably just go with silver-ish shoes.
FWIW on the shoes: I found short kitten heel slipon shoes for my wedding in white fabric. They were comfortable. I found them on amazon.com. You can search by size, heel height and color there.

I don't understand why your FH wants to "have a wedding without a wedding vibe". It IS your wedding! What's wrong with wearing something that makes you feel like it is?? Celebrate the day. I moved to England to be with my FH about two years ago, after being in a long-distance relationship for over a year. We'd spent the past 6 months talking about getting engaged and married, but some visa complications have rushed us into tying the knot in May. So, we're getting married about a year or two earlier than we had planned, so he wants this to feel less like a wedding so we can take our time settling into married life.
After showing my friends and asking The Knot, I had decided to keep it long - until I showed the dress to his mum a few weeks ago, and she seemed pretty put off that I wanted to wear a long dress. She wasn't being petty or mean, but in our situation, I guess it's not really appropriate ? I mean, it is going to be our only wedding, but I'm just so conflicted.
@Sue-n-Kevin - I saw some on Amazon and was wondering how comfy they'd be. This is good to know!
@FutureMrsWilliard88 - those shoes are super cute! If my budget allows, I'll go for some Badgley Mischkas!

I could understand how it might look a litte odd to be going into a courthouse with a big ball gown and cathedral train, but this is clearly not the case. As you said, this is your one and only wedding.....wear the gown! :)
