[QUOTE]A dress with little lights. Why didn't I think of this. For the person with a cash bar, a dollar dance, cash registry and the money tree.

With the fairy lights....there was an episode of my big fat gypsy wedding (UK addition) where a girl had a huge dress with lights in it and the dressmaker stood by all night with a fire extinguisher just in case the bride went up in flames!

  • And just because I was confused by it then and am still confused by it now...

WTF is up with that massively huge bow?!?!?!

  • Tackiest Dress (Get it guys? it's tacky, like sticky, like tape! I'm sooper clever):

Now I don't mind Star Wars, but Jabba looks like poop from the wrong angle, which is most of them:

I'm not even trying to find an invite. Boston wins.

Save that photo for when people complain they won't be the center of attention because of someone else's dress. We have a quick and easy way to fix that now.

The honeymoon fund jar... holy crap. Nothing says "we're skipping the honeyfund registry, the dollar dance, the money tree, the jack and jill....and going right for a collection plate!!!! " like a honeymoon fund jar.

Do they put some $20s in there as a suggestion to get the ball rolling? Do they put it by the cake so that people feel obligated and everyone is watching? Do they put it right by the DJ so he can heckle people who only toss in a dollar?

The best option would clearly be to carry it from table to table during table visits, a la church ushers with the collection basket.

  • 1) Tackiest Wedding Dress - maybe not the tackiest ever, but it irks me how popular these see-through dresses were on SYTTD a few seasons ago.

    2) Tackiest Wedding Cake - I don't mind dollar dances, but if I saw these cakes, I would side-eye so hard, they'd fall out my sockets.

    5) You choose!! - This just makes me sad.

  • I would totally wear the 'MURICA dress if I was competing against Kelly Kapowski and Jesse Spano in the Malibu Sands Miss Liberty pageant.

    • On the menu were Flaming Hots with cheese and meat, Lunchables, and red Kool-aid. Desert was your favorite flavor of fruities candy or a fun size Snicker bar.

  • Possibly unpop-op but I HATE the Pnina Torne (sp?) dresses on SYTTD. A PP reminded me of that. I don't get wanting half of your wedding dress to be see-through and I don't get why people shell out thousands for them.

I completely agree and many times on that show the brides get those dresses lined with fabric so that they aren't see through anymore.  I think it is a ploy by Pnina to get the brides to spend more money at that store.

However, there is a Pnina dress that I think is drop dead gorgeous that has been highlighed on the show recently but I can't find a picture of it.  Needless to say if I had Oprah's money I would have flown in my private jet to NYC and laid down the $20K for that dress in a second.
