Dyeing shoes at David's Bridal

I was looking at dyeable shoes this weekend at DB and the sales lady told me that their dyeable items can only be dyed in the BM dress colors that they offer. The person I was working with there didn't know a lot of things, so I thought I'd go to the experts. (i.e. knotties!) The color I want is cypress from Men's Warehouse (DB no longer carries anything in this color) and I have a swatch.

Re: Dyeing shoes at David's Bridal

  • Unfortunately if they don't carry anything in the color...they probably don't carry the dye anymore either.  Tongue out  But I would look around or maybe someone here knows, there are a LOT of other companies that dye...and I'm guessing you could also maybe DIY.  Hope this helps.  :)
  • A lot of shoe repair cmpanies offer dye services and they can match your swatch.  You might also look at dyeables or any of the other shoe lines that are dyeable.  Most have the ability to either select one of their colors or send in the swatch for an exact match.
  • COnovia, what customer service told you is what I took from their website (although the website wording isn't very clear). The girl I worked with kept telling us she was new and instead of asking she just guessed on the answer. Thank you so much for this feedback!!!
