Something Light-Hearted Today

In honor of the sixth anniversary of the shooting at Virginia Tech, and in honor of the bombing of the Boston Marathon, let's all take a moment.

Post something GOOD that has happened to you in the last week or two. It doesn't have to wedding related, just positive. The world needs some positive vibes today.

For me, I pushed myself really hard at the gym last night, adding an extra set of reps to my usual workout, and using heavier weights. I'm really proud of that. I got to throw a baby shower for a good friend who deserved the love and support from her friends last weekend. FI took me out to dinner last night (Jimmy John's, but I'm not picky). The last flower girl dress arrived today and it's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Your turn!

Re: Something Light-Hearted Today

  • I did 3 miles in 45 minutes yesterday morning at the gym - I'm trying to pick up running again as I have a 5K in 12 days! Aggh!

I had a killer outfit yesterday: Brown&black patterened pants, white long sleeve v-neck, black cuffed stretch blazer and black suede pumps from Rock & republic. And, I have a pretty damn good one today, and I'm wearing my new favorite shoes.

    And I think I'm getting promoted! :)

  • I got our home office finished. Decorating this house is a slow, room-by-room process, and each room completion is one step closer to the whole thing being done.

  • I went to Zumba last night and got a great work out in to awesome music.  All of my family/friends are accounted for and OK.  I made an amazing dinner the other night, a first for the girl who's just starting to learn how to cook.
  • I finally found a bra to wear under my dress. Supposedly it increases my cup size two times!!

I joke about this all the time with my friend who is a DD. I beg her to let's go get surgery and she can give me some of hers.

The only thing I hate about working out is that what little I have there wastes away since that's the first place I lose weight. So annoying.

  • I got to hear baby's heartbeat again. It made me smile. This week is the anniversary of several tragedies. Friday is 18 years since the OKC bombing. Our memorial marathon is the next weekend and the organizers are trying to figure out what to do about security in light of everything that happened in Boston yesterday.

Same here. I would gladly donate some of my F cups to those who want more. I try not to complain about them too much though, because sometimes they are fun to have.
  • We got a huge refund from the escrow account on our house - apparently they way overestimated our taxes for the first year, so we got back $3500 plus our monthly mortgage payment dropped $200!

This week has been absolutely awful for me, thank you so much for posting this and helping me focus on other things :)

  • My sister is pregnant and she found out yesterday she is having a girl. I am hoping that she is super girly and loves tutus and pinks, since my sister is so not like that. We have a super girly niece who will be 3 yrs older than her, so she can teach her the all the girly ways. I have a job interview tomorrow and would love to get this job.

I tease my sister all the time that she has "man pecks". When she got married they added extra padding to both the top of the dress and her bra.

  • I ran a 9 minute 41 second mile, my fastest one so far, I got everything I needed approved so I am officially closing on my condo May 3rd, and I got promoted at work!

Oh, and Jessalyn, I have several of those bras, and they TOTALLY work. Makes my slightly less than a AA look like a solid B lol. I got one for under my dress too!

  • Our condo went under contract last week after 18 months on the market.    I can't wait to get rid of this thing.

It's starting to get nice here in Indy (although this week is suppose to be rainy).  We bought new patio furniture over the weekend.  I'm loving being able to sit outside again.  I plan on breaking out the bike this weekend.  I really miss riding it.

My DD friend was with me when I bought it. She goes "look at all this padding!! Where does your boob go?? How does it fit?". I'm like...I have no boobs to put inside of it, so it will fit just fine.

I was originally going to free ball (up top) under my dress but I just looked waaay too flat. I was going to get a padded bra AND chicken cutlets, but stuck with just the bra since it was double padded.

<div>Ditto. Ditto ditto ditto. What I would give to reduces these Ds to Bs...</div><div>
    </div><div>
</div><div>I've been checking so many things off my list in the past week. I got a dress (from Emerson Fry that I've been drooling over for a month now) to wear to one of my showers, and I bought some BALLIN' sparkly silver d'orsay flats by Alice + Olivia for the wedding itself. When you buy things from such awesome brands, you can't help but name-drop...</div><div>
</div><div>And our little mini schnauzer, Margot, who we adopted at 5 months old, is doing INCREDIBLY well. She was poorly socialized and terrified of everything when we got her. She's now eating like a little piggy, cuddling with us ALL the time (she seriously can't get enough cuddles, especially when sleeping with us in bed) and she's getting a lot better with strangers. She's like a calmer and less barky mini schnauzer then. She's an amazing dog.</div>
  • By the end of the day today, I will be caught up on conference work.

BF is spending the night tonight, and there will be snuggling, sexes, and probably Game of Thrones.  And a healthy, yummy dinner.
