October 2013 Weddings

Tuesday Accountability

I will start this again. Just like before though, someone will need to post it if I don't by noon during the week and also someone will have to do the weekends since I don't have internet access at home. I stopped it before because it died and no one else besides myself and Steph did it.

B: 1 egg, 1 Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Patty, shredded cheese- 185 cals
S: Coffee with two creamers- 64 cals
L: Salad with seasoned chicken, crumbled feta, ranch, and BWW Carribean Jerk sauce- 205 Cals
S: Golden Delicious Apple-106 cals
D: Homemade hamburgers (minus the bun), cheese, mustard, sweet potato fries, ketchup-423 cals
S: Rootbeer Float-150 cals

Total Net Cals eaten- 1133

E: Run 3 miles- burns 300 cals

Cals burned plus remaining cals after meals= 367.

Normally I try to be under 100 cals left over for the day, today is just not one of those days.

Breakfast: One home made latte with 2 percent milk, 130 cals. One Greek yogurt with fruit, 140 cals. Lunch: Two servings of veggie protein and two teaspoons pesto, 255 cals. Two servings home made popcorn, 62 cals. Two tablespoons Brie cheese 60 cals, and two tablespoons shredded Cheddar 57 cals. Serving of Triscuits with the cheese, 120 cals. One serving vegetables or fresh fruit, 60 cals. Dinner: ? FI is in charge of this meal. We don't plan our meals in advance so it will be a surprise, but a healthy one. Total planned calories are 827, which leaves me 564 for dinner and snacks. I've been tracking my protein intake religiously because I find I don't get enough, a bad thing when you're hypoglycemic like me AND weight lifting 2 to 3 days a week. With the calorie counter app I use I find I've been mindful of eating between 60 and 100 grams of protein a day [sufficient to very good for my weight]. Off to work! Have a great day, everyone!
  • B - Granola Thin&skim milk - 163 cals
    S - Earl Grey Tea & honey - 62 cals

I don't plan out my meals for the day, so I may have to come back and add again later and update. I'm trying to have a 500 calorie deficit every day.

<div>It depends on how active I am during the day. I have a fitbit (I love it) and it keeps track of my activity level/steps. It tells me how many calories I've burned throughout the day and if I've gone over my "budget" I know I have to go for a run to get back under again. </div><div>
    </div><div>ETA: I'm averaging about 1200 calories a day, though.</div>
  • ok, as long as you don't go under that. If you do it too many times your metabolism slows down and you go into starvation mode so your body stores fat rather than burns it.

<div>Yup. :) More often than not I go over the 1200, and end up at about 13 or 14. But it seems to have been working for me so far - I've lost 5 lbs in the past 3 weeks. (I haven't weighed myself in the last week, though...) I'm aiming to lose roughly 1.5 lbs/week.</div>

Ugh :[ bad enough to suffer from hypoglycemia alone! It's a weird thing to deal with. I'm having to completely restructure the way I eat in order to control the hypoglycemia, and I swear it wasn't this bad when I was younger. Maybe it progresses as we age?
