Best bang for buck restaurant with parents

FI and I are trying to decide on a restaurant to take our parents to as part of their thank you gift, while in Vegas. FI and I are huge Top Chef fans and though it would be fun to go to one that was mentioned or filmed in, on Top Chef.  So what one would you recommend? Best priced but still nice, maybe $20-$30 a plate.

We are thinking of the M resort buffet I keep hearing good things about it.

I know that while I'm there I want to eat at Craft Tom's place it's at MGM :)

    I love Top Chef!

This is not a place you would take your parents for a nice dinner. However, if you are trying to eat CHEAP, and get full...Ellis Island has a $6.95 Steak Special (ask for the steak special, its not on the menu) and it comes with a Steak,  2 sides and a very large beer or root beer. The place is a little grungy, and the service isnt the best, but you can't beat the price. The travel channel said it was a $4.95 special, but they were incorrect.
Ellis Island is located a behind Planet Hollywood... you could walk, but I wouldn't recommend it.
