Why, you ask? Because I have to have a doctor sign a pre-marital examination certificate.
The prospective bride ONLY must have the State of Indiana Pre-Marital Examination Certificate filled out and signed (original signature required, no faxed or carbon copy signatures permitted) by a doctor. If the prospective bride can show proof of a previous rubella test, her immunization records or records of sterilization, the doctor may fill out the state form and sign it. If no records can be obtained, a blood test will be required. In either case, the state form must be completed and signed by a doctor (which must be legible). Out of state blood tests will not be accepted unless recorded on the Indiana state form. If the prospective bride is 50 years of age or older, no medical forms are required.
WTF, Indiana. I'm already having a crappy day, and now I learn this crap??? I live out of state. Finding a doctor is an enormous PITA. So now I'm going to have to find a doctor that will perform (yet another) blood test on me so I can freaking get married?? I'm so sick of dealing with crap.
Sorry. Today has not been good. I haven't talked to my FH for more than 15 minutes in the last 8 days and I feel like I'm being ignored and it's just... sorry. This isn't the place to vent this stuff.
