    Seriously lame!

I confess that I'm seriously thinking about skipping a work conference because it's the week before my wedding and I'm 99% sure I won't be focused on work hence I'll be useless and my boss should just tell me that I don't need to go : )

[QUOTE]I confess that I spent the past 20 minutes getting car insurance quotes online and it seriously depressed me. Is it really possible that - if I get this new job and need to get a car - I will really have to pay $300 each month for insurance? And that's on top of whatever my car payments will be???

How the h*ll is your car insurance $300 a month?  I just bought a new car, live in an area where traffic is horrendous and my monthly insurance is like $100 or a little less.  Yearly I pay less than $1000.

<div>So I've just been getting quotes online so far. I haven't had car insurance since I graduated from college, and I have never owned a car, so maybe that has something to do with it. My quote on Geico was $139, but everywhere else I got an online quote it was $300-$400 per month! I just spoke to a friend about it, and he also said that we he got his car a few months ago, Geico was the only company that was at all affordable (he's paying about $100 per month).</div><div>
</div><div>I just did some math, and when I factor in likely car payments (I'd probably buy a pre-owned/certified and get it financed), insurance (if it's just $139 per month), and tolls - it's going to all add up to about $6000 per year. Blagh.</div>

<div>I have Geico and pay like $1100 a year. We usually split it in 2 payments rather than pay it monthly. Geico was by far the cheapest of all the ones that I researched when we were switching about a year ago. It's high for you (and me) because we live in the metro area. Also, high for me because my neighborhood is not the best. </div>

I also suggest calling your local State Farm Agent, actually getting on the phone with them.  It may surprise you and be cheaper.  I remember getting an online quote from State Farm and it being high and then calling the local agent and being surprised that it was much cheaper.
  • I confess that when I am away on a layover I eat carbs and other unhealthy foods, and then when my bf asks (personal trainer) I give him white lies.. it's not his fault, I am the one who complains about not being fit yet I don't work out or eat properly (ok, I eat properly when we are together!)

I confess that BF is getting my hopes up.  Our anniversary is in a few weeks and he's been hounding me about what styles of rings I like almost every day.  I'm not about to go all BSC, but I feel like I'm being teased so close to an important date for us.

I confess that even though I asked to close at work, I'm already tired of it.  But it's where all the hours are, so I really can't complain too much.

I confess that I'm mad at my best friends and have been for like a month.  I asked them if we could have a birthday party for me the day before and they said no because I have an "inconvenient birthday". I didn't want some huge bash like they usually throw.  I just wanted to celebrate with my closest friends, some of whom I haven't seen in probably close to a year.  I also didn't want to have to plan my own birthday party for once.  And especially since last year we didn't celebrate because it was one of my BFF's university graduation (which I can totally understand that being a bigger deal than my birthday). Wow...that ended up being more of a rant than I thought.  Sorry.

I confess that I miss spending time with BF.  We live together and because of conflicting work schedules I get to see him maybe a couple days a week for a few hours.

And on the other hand, I confess that I like having time to myself.  I can be as gross or as lazy as I want to be and don't have to feel bad because he's not around to witness it :)

[QUOTE]I confess I bought chocolate frosting and ate it out of the can after dinner last night.  I did not have the whole can only a few spoonfuls.  It was so good though.  I have fallen off the wagon completely with working out and my eating has been slacking a bit.  I'm also a bit annoyed that I haven't heard back from my church yet about setting up a meeting with our priest and to discuss wedding dates.  It's been a week now, Ok your turn....
