Couple's Shower

I'm a long time lurker but first time post-er.  My sister (MOH) is planning on throwing me and FI a 'couple's shower'.  Is this completely against ettiquete?  Basically a bridal shower but for both of us.  I didn't think this was the same as a Jack and Jill.  Per the previous post, there will be no raffle, and no one will have to buy tickets for it!  Only people invited to the wedding will be invited to the shower.

    A couples shower is perfectly fine.  In my circle, that's what a Jack and Jill is.  I had never heard of the fundraiser Jack and Jill until TK.

    I thought this was what my FI and I were invited to for a friend getting married a few months ago. Not only did we buy a gift, but then they also had raffles going and a cash bar, which was unbelievably ridiculous in my opinion. As long as you steer clear of raffles and cash bars, I'd say you're ok!
