I flame the everlovingshit out of my apartment complex for being incapable of processing our checks properly, failing to notify us of their failure in processing said checks, and then calling me this morning demanding to speak to my roommate and refusing to accept that it wasn't her number.

I think this is what she was saying. Currently it only sorts by the timing of the original post. We used to be able to have to the option to see the most recently commented on thread at the top instead of the most recently started thread. I miss that. A LOT.

Jackie - we used to have a little box off to the right to click to order posts with the most recent posts. It was MUCH easier to follow threads that you were participating in.

LFF - I didn't lose 8000 posts with the new layout this time. I'm thinking it was in 2009 when the "big change" occurred? I lost 8000+ posts and had to start all over on my post count.

Me too. But the new layout on Food and Cakes sorts by most recent reply.

Your post count will be updated next week when the changes are complete.

As for following along with threads -- that is what the bookmark feature is for. On the top right near notifications there is a little star - that is where your bookmarked boards live, or your "favorites." I will ask about the little box though.

KJ - overall I like the changes. I like the sort options under the new boards. I like it tells you when there is a new post. I do not like how you can't switch out of special boards from the drop down menus on the left, but I'm assuming that will change next week when they all go to the new format. I like the love option.

As I said the color is what is hard on me. I like different colors boxes are different things. The blue menu drew your eyes to the other boards. Now the menus on the right are the same white color. Nothing really draws your eye over there. It's like a big blob that also hurts your eyes.

I flame people who cannot add. 10000+5000+5000= 20000. Has to do with asking parents for money. They cannot afford 20000 for a wedding a ways say but are cool cornering the parents for a 5k loan from each even tough mom has already given hints she cannot give or loan money by laughing it off as a joke.

I got 2 invites yesterday with the registry info on the invite. One has a gap and a cash bar at the most expensive hotel in the city. The other had no gap but suspect that the 4:30pm ceremony with reception at the park afterward is cake and punch during what is considered dinnerime. Trying to weasel my way out of attending that one 3 hours away.

I want to flame my boss. I bought office supplies to the tune of $400 last week. The boss' son said he would send me the money electronically on Tuesday because that is when they process reimbursements. Okay.

With the conversion and such boss said he didn't trust the electronic and said he would mail me the check on tuesday. He forgot. He forgot on Wednesday also. Yesterday he said he was going to Fed Ex so I would get it today. Well this morning I got an email that said he missed the Fed Ex cut off and sent the money via Western Union,

Now I have to find a WU place. Not that big of a deal, but I do not want to stand in line, get the money, go to the bank deposit the money. It's such a waste of my time when it could have been sent electronically right to my bank account. Just like my paycheck I got today.

ETA - DH and I are not in dire straights that he had to send it WU. He could have just dropped it in the mail and I could have gotten next week. It's not like we are sitting here dying of starvation. Which adds more to my annoyance.

Word of mouth is the best way to spread word of a registry. Make sure your parents and WP know where you're registered so they can tell people if asked. It's also acceptable to put it on your wedding website if you have one, but preferred to have it be in an FAQ section with other information, not as a stand alone "see how to give me gifts" page.

Some people will ask, some people will search the major/usual registry sites (Target, BB&B, Kohl's, etc...) to see if you have a registry there, and some people will just give cash or something off registry regardless.

No, it's not. That is the OBVIOUSness that I am talking about that isn't allowed. If I can blindly walk in here and know where to find a thread or which one you are talking about - that is a violation. I saw something like that on here, but didn't dive into it because, er, well, I am drowning in updates
