DJ HELP!

Hi all!

Getting married Oct 2014 in Central NJ (Monmouth County) and looking for a FUN DJ that will keep the party going. I've been to too many weddings where there's a lull at certain points and it just kills the whole party/dance mood. We don't want anyone cheesy (no games!). We want people to walk away and feel like they just came from the best "party" not necessarily a wedding (if that makes sense!) If you don't mind, please let me know price ranges. Thanks for the help!

Re: DJ HELP!

  • We hired Posh Entertainment.  Mikey B was booked so we wound up with Lil Cee from 92.3.

  • Mike Chieffo from DJMC fits your description of what you want!
  • Look into D'Amico Entertainment (http://www.damicoentertainment.com/).  Chris and his staff are AMAZING! Chris has been in the NJ cover scene for many years, so he has the ability to read and play to the crowd; he doesn't just have a setlist that gets played no matter how many people are dancing.  He offers a DJ Alive package, which is basically a combination of a band and DJ... best of both worlds. I found his prices to be very fair and he's a pleasure to work with.

  • We used Elite Sound Entertainment who fits perfectly into the description you gave. I'm still getting compliments on our DJ. We had an endless cocktail hour wedding so keeping the dance floor packed all night was really important to us. DJ Austin was incredible. Probably my favorite of all our vendors.

  • I am using Vito from Classie entertainment. He has a DJ that he works with that is amazing at making people dance. We had so much fun just at the meeting with Vito that he said even if he wasnt doing our wedding, he would probably crash it lol.
I cant wait until he does our wedding.

  • Call Gemini Productions, they are AWESOME! Ask for Anthony or Mike A. You won't be disappointed!
  • We used 1-800-Jam Music and they were great.  Professional, not cheesy, affordable, and willing to play everything we wanted!
  • I'm using Colorblind Productions www.colorblindprd.com.  I've been to several weddings and events where Rob was the dj and have never been disappointed.
