    I don't know how anyone who didn't read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban could have possibly followed the movie.  The movie didn't even try to explain the best parts of the book!  It was huge let down for me.

    I agree with you.  I love love love animals too, but they are not people.  If I have the choice of saving people or saving cats, people will win out without me having to think twice.  I sort of wish PETA would through blood on people and get them to still care about Haiti, which still has so many problems.

     It was entertaining, but the main reason I'm not a fan is because I found the writing incredibly juvenile and redundant, and I disliked the way Bella and Edward's relationship was portrayed.

    But. I read the entire series before I made this conclusion. I definitely agree that hype should be irrelevant before reading/watching for yourself.

    A trained and well behaved dog will not jump on you and bark all the time. Like mine. He will sit when told and rarely barks. You should dislike people who don't train their dogs.

    YES!  I watched the original trilogy over and over again as a kid and I was so disappointed when the first three came out.

    I've only read the first 3 books, because I'm lazy, but I've seen most of the movies, (again, I'm lazy) and <em>Prisoner of Azkaban</em> still stands as my favorite.

    I am not into the sound of music.  Mary Poppins.  None of that crap.

    I did not grow up watching any of that stuff.  My H knows more abotu a lot of those movies than I do.  Sometimes I feel like I've lived a sheltered life because I wasn't groomed to like a lot of the movies most people do.

    I hate the word tits or titties.  It grosses me out.  So bad.

    This reminds me: it's a running joke among our group of friends to continuously plot out The Worst Movie Of All Time, co-starring Hayden Christiansen and Kristen Stewart in what started out as romantic comedy.  At some point it deteriorated into cyborgs and mutant cows.

    I agree, though -- THAT was a travesty.

    That's what my kid is like. When he runs to the door when I get to daycare and screams, "MAMA!" it's the best feeling in the world. I don't need a dog for that!

    Memoirs of a Geisha. But I'm biased because I thought the book was long winded and dry and I have an undying love for Ken Watanabe.

    I'd also like to add (even though it's not out yet) Breaking Dawn to this list, because I'm pretty sure that no matter what they do to it, it's going to be better than the brow-raising drivel that was the book.

    I hated Gran Torino too. On the same note, I hated There Will Be Blood. The only thing I liked from that movie was the line "I drink your milkshake!"
