    an std-free life is certainly something to consider, unless you think possible prospect of a dr burning warts off your genitals for the rest of your life sounds awesome. sure, having sex with other people doesn't necessarily mean that you will get an std, but it increases the chances.

    Yes it does increase the chances. There is also the chance your husband will cheat on you and you will still get an STD. No point in making major life choices out of fear (besides the obvious choice of using protection, of course)

    Hey, hey, hey.  One sex partner or many, STDs can be avoided by making sure you and your current partner get thoroughly, exhaustively tested before being intimate, and making sure those rules apply to any and all partners you will have.

    After all, we know several people on the boards who have only ever had one sex partner, and because that partner had been more experienced apparently without being sufficiently safe, they ended up getting HPV.

    It was the proverbial "you," as I was saying that anyone's husband could cheat on them. Happens every day. I don't know you or your husband so i really have no idea if he would cheat on you or not.
